Belinda started to smile again.

She felt more at ease now.

Deep down, she really hoped that Hayden could become her son-in-law.

It was evident that Hayden treated Caroline very well.

Although Caroline was not a stunner, she was not unattractive either. Belinda and Hunter were quite good-looking when they were young, especially Hunter, who was a handsome man in his youth. That was why she was drawn to him.

Belinda had believed that Caroline was Hayden’s cup of tea.

With a chuckle, Belinda said, “Hayden attended the Reading family’s banquet tonight wearing a formal dress. Since Mrs. Reading and Mrs. Queen are acquainted, Mrs. Reading might have spoken a few words to Hayden when she saw him in the dress. She made passing remarks, and Hayden replied by saying he was originally a woman but dressed as a man for convenience.

“To sum it up, Hayden isn’t Mr. Hayden, she’s Ms. Hayden, a woman dressed as a man.

“She’s a woman in the first place, so how could she like our daughter? Her acceptance of Kevin’s affection is what’s normal.”

Hunter was left dumbfounded.
