Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2829

“You are not my husband’s biological sister, no blood relation at all. My husband brought you here to live without even informing me. What is it if not keeping a mistress in a splendid abode? This villa was bought by my mother-in-law for us as our new home. My name is also on the title deed, and I have the right to be informed.

“If there’s nothing between you two, why didn’t Adrian tell me? Sneaking around like this implies that there’s something fishy between you two.”

Emma took advantage of Celine’s reluctance to disclose the main reason for being expelled from Fisher Manor and forcefully accused her.

Celine was overwhelmed and could not articulate her defense.

Besides crying out that she was innocent and framed, she dared not say more.

Her current demeanor, on the contrary, made everyone believe that what Emma had said was true. Suddenly, the looks cast upon Celine were filled with disdain and accusation.

Some people mentioned that Celine’s biological father was so wicked—swapping his daughter and subjecting a rich young lady to a life of hardship and mistreating her. It was inherent, they said. Even if Celine grew up in the Fisher family, her genes were rotten; it had nothing to do with the environment.

It was rotten at the core.

Celine raised her head and glared fiercely at Emma, who used to try hard to please her. With a vicious tone, Celine said, “Are you satisfied now? Is this what you all wanted? Did you plot against me? Was it you?”

Later, she concluded that the person who drugged her was Emma.

Hunter mentioned that the bottle of wine was taken from Adrian and was already opened, with only half of it left.

It could not be Adrian, so it must be Emma.

Emma sneered, “Celine, this is your fault. Are you angry now, feeling aggrieved, and crying out to the heavens for mercy? How were you treating the three of us not long ago? Ha ha, now it’s your retribution!”

Besides, in families like theirs, how many men could truly remain devoted for a lifetime?

Celine believed that as a wife, one should be more accepting and turn a blind eye, as long as their husbands returned home and provided for the family.

Even to this day, Celine did not believe that she was in the wrong. Instead, she felt that her sisters-in-law and Caroline were in the wrong for conspiring against her.

Caroline had a capable aide, Mr. Fletcher, by her side. Did she not know that her sisters-in-law once conspired against her?

“By the way, I almost forgot something.”

Emma recalled what Caroline told her. She leaned in close to Celine’s ear and whispered, “Are you still dreaming of marrying Hayden Queen? Let me tell you a secret, Hayden is no different from us. Hayden is actually a woman, hehe. There’s only one young lad in the Queen family, and that’s Hugh Queen.”
