Julian said indulgently, “If you like them, I’ll give you flowers every day from now on.
“Why don’t I go to the gym with you now to grab the flowers?”
Quinn said, “Let’s go and get them. You don’t have to give me flowers every day. Just occasionally as a surprise will do. It’ll lose its novelty if I get flowers every day.”
Julian chuckled. “Okay, I’ll listen to you.”
He gave her flowers, but she thought of flower pancakes instead.
Julian was afraid too that if he gave her a bouquet every day, she would only have flower pancakes on her mind and not think of how much he loved her.
Women liked two things the most—having money and the freedom to spend it at will.
He could give her money folded into flowers so that she had money to spend.
“Let’s go shopping for clothes first. I want to buy an outfit for you.”
Quinn felt that she had to give him something in return for the bouquet of flowers he had given her.
Thus, she decided to give him a thick coat.
“You want to buy an outfit for me?”
Julian was very happy.
“I’m scared you’ll feel cold, seeing that you’re wearing so little. I’ll buy you a thick coat. But I’m not as rich as you, who wears designer clothes from head to toe. I can only afford to get you a coat that costs under a few hundred dollars.
“If you don’t like it, don’t throw it away. Give it back to me and I’ll give it to Will to wear. He’s about the same height as you are.”
Julian immediately said, “I won’t dislike it. Once it’s been given to me, it’s mine. You can’t have it back. Will has lots of clothes and his clothes are all thicker than mine. Plus, I don’t have much warm clothing and I’m actually really scared of the cold.
If the Bucham heir wore them, it meant the clothes from that brand were excellent, and the people would scramble to order the same piece of clothing. It was even more effective than the brand’s own advertising.
Quinn hummed and helped Julian pick out clothing without reservation, from his coat to his shirt and his pants. She even almost bought innerwear for him.
When the couple finally exited the clothing store, Julian was carrying many bags of various sizes, and a smile brighter than the afternoon sun in Wiltspoon on his handsome face.
They first headed to the gym on foot to grab the bouquet of flowers Quinn left behind before walking home together.
It already felt like a date.
When the rest of the Crawfords saw them come home, they noticed they were getting along well as usual and that Julian was carrying quite a few shopping bags.
Mark asked, “What did you buy, Julian? You bought so much.”
