Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 2907

Rosella laughed as she looked at her son. “It’ll be a ladies' night. If a big man like you comes with us… Well, if you’re not afraid of being teased, you can come with us. But whenever I asked you to attend dinners with me, you’d always say you were busy.

“Now that I want to bring your wife to meet my friends, you suddenly say you’re free. Why, are you afraid I’ll sell off your wife?”

Rosella teased her son. “Don’t worry, I promise you I’ll return her to you whole and unharmed.”

Callum blushed slightly as he laughed. “I’m not worried. You’d sell me off sooner than you’d sell Camryn off. I just really am free. I was really busy in the past too. It’s just that, now that the younger ones can help out, us older ones can take the occasional break too, after working so hard for so many years.”

Austin and River could both help out now.

“You’re the protective type and you dote on Camryn the most. It’d be weird if you heard someone dared to touch even a single hair on Camryn’s head and didn’t cut off their hand. I’m really not worried, not even a single bit.”

Rosella chuckled. Did her son think she had no idea what he was thinking?

“You can follow us if you want to. It’s great timing to let everyone see just how well-matched my son and my daughter-in-law are to each other.”

Rosella said, “That Mrs. Whitham keeps bragging about how amazing her son and daughter-in-law are in front of us. She keeps exclaiming about how her son’s so handsome and her daughter-in-law’s so pretty. I want her to see what a truly handsome and pretty combo is—the moment my son and daughter-in-law appear, you guys will stun them and blow them out of the water.”

Usually, when the rich wives gathered, their topics of conversation were about their husbands and children. Those who had daughters-in-law would bring them up too.

Under normal circumstances, Rosella would never offer her son and daughter-in-law up as a topic for conversation. She felt that even if it was just about their daily lives, it concerned their privacy.

She did not like it when others pried into her family’s private matters and did not like talking about it to others either.

She just listened to others when they praised their sons and daughters-in-law like she was listening to a story.
