Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3041

Nina suppressed her anger and said, “Camryn followed Rosella to Mrs. House’s gathering tonight. Since Tasha is an acquaintance of Sally, she introduced Sally to Camryn. However, Sally still has feelings for Callum.

“She was rude to Camryn and said pretty harsh words. She ended up having wine splashed on her face.”

Lionel said, “How could she hurt someone with words? Did she forget everything we taught her?

“Have you apologized to Camryn in Sally’s stead? We shall prepare some gifts and pay her a visit to apologize to her again tomorrow.”

Lionel did not ask what Sally had said to Camryn.

Based on his wife’s anger, he knew his daughter was at fault.

They had been very particular about their daughter’s upbringing, yet Sally had insulted someone. Nina was angry. She also felt guilty for not educating her daughter well.

“Sally and I apologized to Camryn. She let it slide for now. However, that was her being generous. We can't let this slide even if she isn’t holding Sally accountable.

“I feel terrible, Lionel.”

Nina looked toward her husband and said, “I thought I’ve taught our children well and that they’ve grown into fine adults, but… I guess we didn’t do well enough as parents.

“Elisa and Sally both had a crush on one of the York boys. However, Elisa immediately drew boundaries and stopped bothering Zachary after knowing he was married.

“On the other hand, our daughter still has wishful thinking despite being aware that Callum is married. When she saw Camryn, she couldn’t even hold back her jealousy and ended up hurling rude and humiliating remarks at her.

“Elisa is optimistic and well-mannered. Even if her reputation was deliberately damaged, she remained elegant. Elisa is genuinely a down-to-earth person. She isn’t pretentious or fake, unlike some two-faced people.

“But Sally… I think we have failed in educating our child.”

Nina was exasperated not because Sally offended someone but because she did not teach her daughter well. She thought it was her and Lionel’s fault for not educating their daughter.

Lionel consoled his wife.

Sally had been standing by the door all along. She felt utterly ashamed after listening to her parents’ conversation.

She wished she could hide in a hole.
