As expected, Callum saw Austin bustling around in the kitchen alone.
“Austin, we’re coming over to eat breakfast with Nana. Don’t forget our portions.”
Callum was deathly afraid that he had come too late and that Austin was done preparing breakfast, leaving them with nothing to eat and his beloved wife’s stomach empty.
Austin did not even turn around or spare Callum a glance as he said, “Can’t you see I’m still getting breakfast ready? Since you’re up early, help me out here.”
Zachary and Callum are both back at the Manor, as well as Josh and Jasmine. Austin had the sense to prepare breakfast for everyone without them telling him to do so.
As long as Grandma May was home, everyone tacitly understood to gather at the main house to eat together.
Callum hurriedly replied, “I have yet to finish my run. I don’t have time to help you right now. Besides, everyone prefers your cooking, especially breakfast. Yours is just tastier.
“But tell me, Austin. We were all taught by Nana, so why is it that you’re so much better than the rest of us at cooking?
“I realized that you’ve even surpassed Kevin.”
Now that he knew there was food for him, Callum sang his cousin’s praises. After all, they cost nothing.
Austin turned to look at Callum before turning away once more and saying, “You don’t have to praise me. I know exactly where my limits lie. You guys aren’t bad at it, only not as dedicated to it as I am. I even started my business in the F&B industry.”
He loved cooking. That was why he was firm on starting his business in the food and beverage industry.
Unlike Kevin, whose position was assigned by Zachary. Naturally, Kevin’s passion for cooking would not be as intense as Austin’s.
“I’m not buttering you up, really. You really are amazing. Oh, yeah! Austin, I heard from Aunt Tania that you’re heading off to Satbury on Monday to be someone’s private chef. How did you get the idea to work for someone else as their private chef?
“If you want to be a chef, being in our home is enough for you to show off your skills.”
Austin replied, “I’m going because I want to.”
