Serenity and Zachary York novel Chapter 3300

If they saw Carrie as a bad person, then were they good people? If Camryn was a good person, she should have been generous enough to let bygones be bygones and given Carrie all her parents’ assets.

“Carrie, that’s not what I mean. I don’t. To me, both you and Camryn are my sisters. I just think you need to be independent, stand on your own two feet, and know how to judge the situation.

“We can’t live under our parents’ protection forever. They can’t help us now, so we have to rely on ourselves. Camryn isn’t as malicious as you think she is. If she really were ruthless, you wouldn’t be sitting here cursing her out right now.

“Camryn hasn’t stolen our assets either. She’s just taken back what Uncle Abel left for her, and according to the law, she’s entitled to a portion of Mom’s assets too. She is her biological daughter, after all.

“I’m still studying at the moment and I can’t focus on managing the company and our business. That’s why I asked Camryn to help me with it. I trust she won’t covet it,” Trenton explained as he defended Camryn.

“You’re always like this, Carrie. Even if I gave you Dad and Mom’s assets, would you be able to hold on to them? You’d lose it all in a second. And Aunt Brenda and Aunt Amy’s families would definitely leech you dry if you had money.

“You see? Now that you can’t offer them anything anymore, they’ve vanished and cut all contact with you. I’m younger than you yet I can see all this. Why can’t you?”

Trenton was at a loss with Carrie and did not want to argue with her every time they met either. It was all their parents’ fault for spoiling her. Educating a child was much more difficult than spoiling one; the former would take three years while the latter only took three minutes.
