“I’m sorry. I got nervous when I saw many people standing in front of the hotel and I stepped on the gas instead of the brake,” said the second driver who had the car parked and got off.
It was a young woman, and she indeed looked nervous.
She saw Liberty, who was getting up with some help. She asked apologetically, “Are you okay? I’m sorry. I truly am. I just got my driving license half a month ago. It’s my first time driving on the road. I still get nervous when I see many people.”
The first driver had already taken his car to the basement parking lot and disappeared.
Liberty observed the woman. She did look young and scared. It was natural to get nervous if her license was freshly obtained. Since Liberty was fine, she said, “I’m okay, but you should be careful. You can go somewhere with a smaller crowd and practice your driving. You shouldn’t mistake the accelerator for the brake again. Otherwise, you’ll hit someone.”
Liberty and her group only managed to avoid getting hit because they dodged the car in time.
With the speed at which the car was going earlier, it would have been disastrous if it had hit someone.
“I know. I’m terribly sorry. I’m glad all of you are okay.”
That young woman continued to apologize.
The hotel security also scolded her and got someone to park her car.
The young woman said sorry to Liberty again as she was entering the hotel.
The other driver who had sped toward Liberty found a space to park her car after entering the basement parking lot. She called someone and whispered, “We failed, sir. She managed to dodge it.”
“Just leave if you two have failed. If someone stops you, just tell them what I’ve taught you to say.”
Two young women were arranged to drive and hit Liberty. Both of them had just gotten their driving license. It would be understandable if they claimed to have gotten nervous when they saw a crowd and mistook the gas for the brake.
A car accident was not ideal to target Liberty because her bodyguards tagged along wherever she went. Her car was also protected by her bodyguards’ vehicles front and back.
