Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 125

Chapter 125 Nancy Insists on a Divorce

What? Madelline could hardly believe her cars.

Suddenly, she burst into tears, crying out heart-wrenchingly. “No, Nicholas! I’m not leaving the country! I’m not leaving; don’t want to leave you. I’m begging you, Nicholas. I can have nothing at all, but please don’t be so cruel to me. I really don’t want to leave!” Once I leave, I will lose him completely, and I won’t have any more chances.

Though Madelline was crying bitterly on the other end, Nicholas’ heart remained unyielding. His words were ice-cold and devoid of any warmth as he stated, “Madelline, this is a decision, not a negotiation with you. There’s no room for negotiation this time. You must leave.“

“No. I won’t leave no matter what you say! You can’t force me, Nicholas!” Madelline shouted.

At this point, he also became angry, and his voice escalated sharply. “I said you must leave. Don’t try to challenge me, Madelline. If I want you to leave, I have many ways to ensure that. I don’t want you to fight me and flee in a sorry. state.”

“No, I don’t want to-” Madelline’s sobs intensified at that point.

With those words, Nicholas essentially declared her death sentence-she had to leave.

However, considering her character, how could she possibly give up? I’ve put in so much effort. I can’t lose. How can I? I have to win… I must win! Even if it means putting in 100 times or 1,000 times the effort, I must win. I’m ready to give it my all, no matter what it takes.

She quickly regained her composure, took a deep breath, and said, “Can I ask you a question? I hope you will answer me truthfully.””

“Go ahead.”

“Are you in such a hurry to send me away because of Nancy?”

Meanwhile, Nancy didn’t expect Madelline to ask this question. She looked up sharply and glanced at Nicholas, but she quickly averted her gaze again.

“Yes.”

He quickly provided an answer, leaving Nancy somewhat stunned.

But within seconds, she came to a realization, and a faint smile tugged at her lips. I’m such a fool. Some words are meant to be heard but not taken seriously. Why did I take it to heart? Nancy Cohen, how many times have you been deceived and hurt? Haven’t you learned your lesson yet? There’s no need to take his

words to heart.

On the other end, Madelline was seething with anger. It’s really because of Nancy, just as I have suspected. That little b*tch! I will not let her succeed, for sure.

Knowing that Nancy was on the other end of the call, Madelline raised her voice intentionally. T have one more question. As long as you answer truthfully, you don’t have to send me away. I will leave willingly and won’t bother you anymore.”

“Okay.”

“Nicholas, do you still love .ne?”

After the question was asked, both parties fell silent, and the air was so still that even their breaths could be heard clearly.

The night grew darker.

“Madelline, it’s been over between us for a long time.”

Once Nicholas said that, Madelline burst into tears. Over? How could it be over? I still think of you and yearn for you every day.

“Lynn will come to pick you up in an hour.” He hung up the phone right after that.

Then, he shifted his gaze back to Nancy. “Other than your feet, is there anywhere else you feel cold? I can help warm you up.”

Nancy shook her head without uttering a word.

Anywhere else I feel cold? My heart, of course. Right now, her heart was filled with an unbearable chill, making her feel like she was freezing just being near him.

After lifting a corner of the blanket, Nicholas walked to the foot of the bed. The moment he raised Nancy’s foot, she didn’t hesitate and quickly pulled it back.

“What are you doing?” She stared at him with her big, round eyes.

Nonetheless, he gripped her foot again. “Aren’t your feet cold? I’ll warm them up for you.”

“You don’t need to do it this way.” She couldn’t bear this kind of kindness, and it wasn’t what she wanted.

“I want to do this for my own sake.

His deep, dark eyes were fixed on her. Seeing that, she felt a pang in her heart and slowly looked away. Well, if he wants to.

Soon, her cold feet were in his warm, big hands.

Her feet were as small as his hands, and his hands could easily encircle them tightly.

There was no doubt that Nicholas’ hands were indeed warm. When he touched her, she instantly felt the warmth.

With the rubbing and warming, Nancy’s feet gradually lost their chill. After a while, her feet regained their warmth, and as they warmed up, her entire body started to heat up, providing her with a much more comfortable feeling.

“It’s enough. I’m warm now,” Nancy said softly as she looked at him..
