Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 176

Chapter 176 I Love You, Nicholas

The mere thought of the scene made Nancy feel as if a gaping wound had been torn open in her heart. Blood gushed out, causing her intense pain that made her gasp for relief. However, the pain persisted, and she found herself in excruciating agony. In truth, she had always wanted to ask that question, but she lacked the courage and the right to do so. Her heart was left in suspense after posing the question.

Julian’s tall figure froze for a moment. She actually called me “darling!” Her intentions couldn’t be more obvious. But… do I reciprocate those feelings? Who is she referring to? Unable to comprehend her question, he chose to remain silent instead of answering.

After receiving no response for a prolonged period, Nancy furrowed her brow and released her grip on Julian’s arm. She slouched on the couch, closing her eyes and saying with a self-deprecating laugh. “You don’t deny it. You do like them, after all. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have asked.” Indeed, with stunning looks and an attractive figure, any man would desire a woman like that. Why wouldn’t he? He’s right; even without me, he wouldn’t lack female attention. He could still lead a happy and carefree life, while I’m the only one holding onto the past.

“Nancy, you’re foolish and naive. Why must you fall in love? Why can’t you let go?” she muttered to herself. In her heart, she had already scolded herself countless times, but it was futile; she couldn’t let go, no matter what. She still loved him. What can I do? I still love him deeply. Seeing him with those women tore her heart apart. She longed to cry, but she didn’t want to shed tears in his presence or be looked down upon by him again. “Leave,” she said despite her discomfort.

Julian was somewhat concerned about her current state. “Can you manage on your own?”

“Yes, I can.”

“Alright.” Julian nodded, then pushed the door open and departed.

In an instant, the sound of the door closing reached Nancy’s ears. He left! He actually lefi. Tears immediately streamed down her cheeks. Her heart ached as if someone was pulling at it with a million. strings, causing every breath to feel like inhaling blades,

Stumbling into the bathroom, she turned on the shower and crouched under the showerhead.

The water from the showerhead was initially ice-cold, causing Nancy to shiver uncontrollably. She desperately wrapped her arms around herself. Eventually, the water warmed up, and a hint of warmth gradually spread through her body.

The hot shower water poured down fiercely, filling the bathroom with steam. It was only at this moment that she could feel her own heartbeat; otherwise, she would have suspected that she had died. Nevertheless, her heart continued to ache immensely.

Nicholas’ car had just arrived when Julian descended the stairs. He narrowed his dark eyes, staring intently at the latter’s tall figure. Thank goodness he came downstairs, otherwise, I wouldn’t have spared him! Then, he stepped out of the car and hurriedly rushed towards Nancy’s apartment

The door to her apartment was tightly shut Fortunately, after his previous visit, he had saved his own fingerprint as a precautionary measure, allowing him to effortlessly open the door Upon entering the apartment, he immediately began searching frantically “Nancy he called out as he searched

However, there was no sign of Nancy in the living room or her bedroom, causing him to panic. He called out loudly. “Nancy…”

Suddenly, he heard the sound of running water coming from the bathroom.

Without the slightest hesitation, he pushed open the bathroom door. When he saw Nancy sitting on the floor, her clothes drenched and her hair disheveled, he hurried over and lifted her up, his heart aching. “Nancy, what happened? Are you okay?” As he held her in his arms, his first thought was whether she was unwell. “Tell me, is something hurting you?”

At that moment, Nancy finally opened her eyes. When she saw his face becoming clearer before her, she couldn’t hold back any longer. She burst into tears, but those tears were quickly washed away by

the water.

Nevertheless, Nicholas continued to cup her face in both hands, gently wiping away her tears as if she were a delicate treasure. His voice was filled with tenderness as he asked while wiping her tears, “Nancy, where does it hurt?”

Wasn’t he cold and indifferent towards me in the private room, treating me like a stranger? Why is he suddenly being so kind to me again? Tears streamed down Nancy’s cheeks as she stared at him, saying pitifully. “I hurt everywhere. Her slender fingers reached out and clutched his shirt over his chest. “But here…. Here’s where it hurts the most. Nicholas, you know what? It hurts here. It hurts so, so much. I want the pain to stop, but… I can’t control it. I really can’t,” she continued, sobbing harder and harder. “Tell me, how can I make it stop hurting? How can I stop feeling miserable?”

“I’m sorry, Nancy. It’s my fault; I shouldn’t have let you drink. Let me take you to see a doctor right. away,” replied Nicholas. He believed she was feeling unwell due to alcohol.
