Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 40

Chapter 40 Nicholas Was Beaten Severely

Nicholas nodded and said, “I remember the password. Please wait for me. I have something to do.”

After saying that, he turned and left.

Nancy watched his back fade away. She didn’t know what he was going to do. But since he told her to wait for a while, he would come back then.

In that case, she just waited.

Anyway, they made an appointment at 2 p.m.

There is still plenty of time.

Nicholas almost ran all the way to Jacob’s room.

Jacob was sitting on a wooden recliner with his eyes closed when he went there. Incense filled the room. Uncle Joe was standing by to take care of him.

“Grandpa.”

Nicholas called out. Jacob opened his eyes and looked at him as expected.

“You are here. Have a seat!”

While Jacob finished speaking, Nicholas unexpectedly knelt directly before him.

“Grandpa, I’m sorry. I know what you mean. You don’t want us to divorce. I failed you.”

“So, you are still determined to get a divorce?” Jacob asked straight away.

Nicholas knelt without saying a word.

But there is only silence.

“No wonder Nancy insists on divorce. Your attitude made everyone disappointed.”

“Uncle Joe, help him stand up.” Jacob’s voice was stern and calm.

Uncle Joe walked over, bent down, and held Nicholas’ arm to help him stand up.

Suddenly, Jacob took his crutch and hit Nicholas.

Jacob was very ruthless.

Nicholas’ entire back felt pain instantly.

Seeing that he endured it without grunting or begging, Jacob became even more angry.

He wielded his crutch and hit Nicholas again.

After two crutches hit, Nicholas’ back was in burning pain.

“Do you still want to divorce?” Jacob asked again.

“I’m sorry, Grandpa.”

Nicholas was stubborn and insisted.

He stood there, straight like a pine tree, without frowning. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth to endure pain with all his strength.

Jacob became more angry.

He was so angry that he raised his crutch again to hit Nicholas.

Nicholas looked at the crutch he raised and prepared to bear it.

Uncle Joe rushed over and held the crutch. “Sir, you can’t hit him. If you keep beating him, you will break Mr. Sallow.”

Jacob was furious and said, “I think his body is strong enough to endure the beating.”

Uncle Joe looked at Nicholas and shouted anxiously, “Mr. Sallow, please surrender. How can your body withstand such a beating?”

“Uncle Joe, I know you are doing it for my good. I know Grandpa is very angry. If beating me will make him feel better, let him beat me.”

Nicholas’ harsh words made Jacob so

gry that he was shaking all over.

He pushed Uncle Joe away and struck Nicholas with his crutch.

This time, he hit very

hard.

Nicholas suddenly leaned forward. He spitted out blood from his mouth with a muffled

Soon, the red blood stained the carpet.

“Mr. Sallow…” Uncle Joe rushed to help Nicholas.

He realized that Nicholas’ back was all wet.

grunt.

But it wasn’t because of sweat.

Instead, it was wet with blood.

The red patch soaked almost the entire back.

Uncle Joe raised his head and glanced. Jacob was furious, and Mr. Sallow was stubborn. He didn’t want to give up.

If this continues, he couldn’t imagine the consequences.

Wait!

Mrs. Sallow!

The only one who can save Mr. Sallow now is Mrs. Sallow.

Thinking of this, Uncle Joe helped Nicholas and immediately went out to look for Nancy.

After three consecutive beatings, Jacob felt tired. He put down his crutch and took a sip of tea.

Then he looked at Nicholas, “You just like your father. He left his good wife and sought another woman outside.”

“Your grandma and I loved each other for life. No matter what difficulties we encounter, we will go through it hand in hand. We are so close to each other and grow old together. How did we give birth to a bastard like your father?”

“It’s true that if the parents misbehave, their child will be crooked too. He taught his beloved son. to become you, such an ungrateful person.”

Nicholas listened silently. He didn’t dare to say a word.

He didn’t dare to refute.

He did reject Nancy in his feelings.

This is his fault.

He couldn’t deny it.

“Nicholas, you run such a big company, our Sallows company. You plan strategies and make countless decisions every day. Now, you want to divorce? Have you ever thought about Nancy?”

Nicholas replied, “I thought about her. When we discussed the divorce agreement, I told her if she has property requirements, she can ask me, and I will compensate her as she wants.”

Property? Jacob sneered.

He looked at Nicholas coldly, “Think about it. During these two years of marriage, has Nancy ever used your money? Did she care about the money you give? You thought that she wanted money, right?”
