Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 81

Chapter 81 She Was the Bystander

“Where are you?”

As expected, Nicholas shouted.

A triumphant smile appeared on Madelline’s lips. She smiled and hung up the phone without answering.

Nicholas grabbed his mobile phone and was about to leave. Thinking of Nancy, he returned to the room.

A few minutes later, Nancy came out of the bathroom.

Seeing her, Nicholas immediately handed her clothes. “Change your clothes. Quickly

“Huh? I’m going to bed soon. Why should I change into these clothes?” Nancy was puzzled.

Change your clothes first. It’s urgent. We have to go to somewhere.”

After sitting in the car, Nicholas said, “Nancy, I must tell you the truth. Madelline may be in

trouble.”

“I know you don’t want me to have any contact with her. I don’t want to lie to you, but I can’t leave her alone.”

“Ever since her leg is disabled, no one in the Phillips cares about her. If I ignore her too, she may not survive. Besides, she sounds weird just now. I have to go there.”

Nicholas took Nancy’s hand and put it in his palm, “Nancy, I don’t want to lie to you, so can you

go with me?”?

Nancy’s face was hidden in a dark corner of the car. Hence, Nicholas couldn’t see the expression

on her face.

Suddenly, Nancy said, “What if I don’t want to go?

“If you don’t want to go, then….

Before Nicholas finished his sentence, Nancy suddenly reached out to cover his mouth and shook her head. “No, don’t say it. I don’t want to know your answer.”

Yes, she was scared.

She admitted she was a coward. She admitted she was weak.

Their relationship was finally a bit closer after such a long time. Nancy didn’t want their

relationship to reach a deadlock again because of this incident.

At this moment, the answer was no longer matter.

Nancy knew she didn’t want to push Nicholas to Madelline, so she was willing to accompany him.

“I’ll go with you,” she said.

Nicholas hugged her tight. His voice was almost trembling. “Thank you, Nancy. Thank you for your tolerance and understanding

Nancy wanted to say “You don’t have to thank me. I’m not tolerant at all. I’m very possessive. I’m so possessive that I don’t want to share you with any woman. I agreed, not because of tolerance, but because I love you too much and I’m scared of losing you.’ But she didn’t in the end.

They quickly arrived at Madelline’s location.

Nancy had a horrible feeling when she walked into the restaurant.

The private room’s door was closed when they arrived.

Nicholas opened the door and walked in. He saw Madelline lying on the floor. She was moaning and struggling in pain.

The wheelchair overturned, and she fell to the ground. Her hair was messy. She tried hard to stretch out her hands and get up but failed.

Fresh blood pooled beneath her body.

Madelline’s stomach seemed to have been stabbed. The knife had been pulled out and fell on the ground. Fresh blood was still dripping on it.

Blood flowed out from the wound in her belly.

It flowed like crazy.

The room was filled with a strong smell of blood.

Looking at the scene, Nancy was shocked.

When Nancy was about to speak, Nicholas had already let go of her hand and ran towards Madelline.

“Madelline, are you okay?”

“What happened? Why are you bleeding so much?”

Nicholas asked anxiously while holding Madelline into his arms.

“Call the ambulance quickly!” He looked at Nancy and ordered loudly.

Nancy was still shocked. She had thought about many scenarios, but she never expected this.

She froze for a moment.

Seeing Nancy standing still, Nicholas suddenly shouted. “Why are you still standing there? Call the ambulance!”

“I…” Nancy felt suffocated when she saw Nicholas,

But she quickly replied, “I’ll call right away.

After calling the ambulance, Nancy lowered her hand and stared blankly at everything in front of

her.

Nicholas hugged Madelline tightly as if he was holding his dearest lover. He kept talking with his gentle voice. It was unbelievable.

He held Madelline’s hand with one hand.

The other hand held Madelline’s face and stroked it carefully.

Nancy couldn’t help but sneer when she looked at it.

She felt so lonely.

At this moment, they were husband and wife, and Nancy was just a stranger, a bystander.

Now, there is only Madelline in Nicholas’ eyes. He even didn’t notice Nancy’s presence at all.

He might have forgotten Nancy completely and only have Madelline in his heart now.

Just now, Nancy was just someone who could help call the ambulance. That’s it.

Nancy looked at the loving couple in front of her.

She even saw Madelline groaning in pain while casting a proud and provocative look at her.

How could she not care?

How would she not feel sad?

But can she go there and snatch Nicholas?

A ridiculous idea suddenly flashed through Nancy’s mind. Nancy even hoped that she was the one who was injured instead of Madelline.
