Seven Days Seven Nights (Nicholas and Nancy) novel Chapter 82

Chapter 82 Watching Them Left

However, Nancy was disappointed.

Nicholas just glanced at her, then quickly looked away. He held Madelline in his arms and ran out quickly.

“Huh…”

Nancy smiled and didn’t know how to describe her feelings.

Holding on to the chair’s corner, Nancy struggled to stood up.

She frowned in pain as soon as she stood up. Her legs were so painful.

She walked out and tried to hold on.

When she got to the front of the restaurant, an ambulance was parked outside.

Nicholas carried Madelline into the ambulance. Through the crowd, Nicholas saw Nancy at a glance.

Nancy walked slowly and with great difficulty.

Nicholas immediately remembered the scene where she had just fallen in the private room. He thought the room was covered with thick carpets. She might be hurt, but it won’t be serious.

But now it seemed like he was wrong, and Nancy was seriously injured.

Her condition was pretty bad. Nicholas started to worry.

Looking at her situation, Nicholas intended to go over.

However, Madelline suddenly grabbed his hand and said pitifully, “Nicholas, don’t go, please don’t go.”

“I’m so scared, I’m terrified. Can you stay with me?”

Madelline was crying like a child, and her body was trembling. She held Nicholas tightly as if he was her last hope.

Nicholas finally stopped and comforted her. “Okay, I won’t leave.”

“Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.”

“Okay.”

Madelline reached out and hugged Nicholas’ arm tightly as if she was afraid he would go away.

Soon, the ambulance’s door was closed.

Nancy watched the door closing slowly. She also watched Madelline hug Nicholas’ arm and disappear gradually,

Finally, she couldn’t hold it anymore. Tears blurred her eyes.

Through her blurry eyes, Nancy saw Nicholas getting further away from her.

Soon, the ambulance siren sounded. It quickly disappeared in the middle of the road.

Nancy was still standing at the front of the restaurant and staring at him dully.

Oh, she was looking at them, disappearing gradually.

The ambulance had gone for over ten minutes, but Nancy stood dimly at the same spot.

The night wind became cooler, and the temperature suddenly dropped.

Nancy stood in the cold wind while looking in the direction where the ambulance just left.

At first, she looked in the direction the ambulance was leaving.

But later, she had no idea what she was looking at and looking forward to.

The night became colder..

Nancy soon felt cold.

Her body was already stiff.

Nancy was leaving hurriedly, and her clothes were insufficient to resist the wind on this cold night.

Her slender legs were icy because they were exposed to the cold.

Maybe because it was too cold, she had completely forgotten about the pain.

Yeah, cold.

It was so cold.

The weather today was unusual as well. It had never been so cold at this time in previous years.

When Lynn drove over, he saw Nancy standing silently in the cold wind.

“Mrs. Sallow, I come to pick you up.”

“It’s freezing. Hurry up, get in the car!” Lynn said.

Nancy glanced at him lightly and said nothing.

Afterwards, she stepped into the car.

In the car, Nancy remained silent and extremely quiet.

Lynn immediately called Nicholas. “Mr. Sallow, I’ve picked up Mrs. Sallow. Don’t worry.”

“Okay, please take care of her.”

In the car, Nancy leaned against the window and watched the streetlights flashing around her.

She kept quiet as if she didn’t care where Lynn was taking her.

Twenty minutes later, Lynn stopped the car in the parking lot.

He walked to the back and opened the door for Nancy. “Mrs. Sallow, we have arrived.”

Nancy was very cooperative and didn’t give Lynn a hard time. She got out of the car right away.

She knew this was the hospital parking lot.

She saw the bright letters spelled “Serenity Hospital” on the way here.

Seeing Nancy walking forward, Lynn grabbed something and chased after her immediately. “Mrs. Sallow, please wait a moment.”

Nancy stopped, then turned around and looked at Lynn in confusion.

Finally, she saw the long black coat hanging on Lynn’s arm, which looked familiar.

Lynn immediately stepped forward and put the black coat on Nancy. “Mrs. Sallow, it’s cold outside.”

“Is this his clothes?”

Nancy looked at Lynn. She finally spoke for the first time after so long.

Lynn immediately nodded vigorously. “Yes, Mr. Sallow personally ordered it. He said it’s windy outside and fears you might catch a cold. He specifically told me to bring this coat for you. Please put it on.”

“Did he ask you to pick me up and take me to the hospital?” Nancy asked again.

Lynn nodded earnestly. “Yes.”

Nancy didn’t ask further. She followed Lynn to see the doctor.

The doctor said her wound was quite severe, but luckily, no bones were damaged.
