Chapter Five
"Marry Zohan, he is a nice guy. I'm sure he'll be ready to take care of the kids. After all, they both are his best friend's children." Her aunt hesitantly tells her.
Mushk looks at her aunt, horrified by the solution she gave.
"Not at all aunt! I can never take such a big step without my brother" She whispers to her aunt, hoping she'll agree to it.
"Why not Mushk? What’s wrong with it? We will be with you in the place of your family, and Mustafa himself had accepted this arrangement. Why are you hesitating now?" She annoyingly questions her.
Mushk just looks down, not knowing what to say. For the first time she missed her father. She knew if he was here then she wouldn't have to go through such a tough time.
She dearly missed her parents, this was the first time she felt like an orphan. Tears welled up in her eyes.
Seeing her tears, her aunt's eyes soften.
"Child look at me, you know I always wanted to make you Irtaza’s bride .But god didn’t wanted that and sent Zohan for you, and like how every mother wants good for their children, I too think that Zohan was better for you. You will live like a queen with him. Settling in a joint family is very difficult Mushk, and you wouldn't have been able to take care of Ibrahim, that was the reason why I told Mustafa to say yes to Zohan." Her aunt softly tells her, holding her chin.
"I'll think about it aunt." ,Mushk softly tells her.
"Where is Mujtaba?"Her aunt asks her.
She slowly opens the door, entering inside. She looks at the room, completely dim and Murtaza was sleeping on the bed beside Ibrahim, with pillows surrounding them.
Stepping closer to them she adjust the pillows, securing them properly.
Mushk's brows furrow seeing Ibrahim stir in his sleep. Hurriedly sitting on the bed she slowly pats his back, lulling him back to sleep.
Irtaza enters into the room, but stops near the door ,seeing Mushk lulling his son back to sleep. Not knowing what to do to gain her attention, he knock the door of his own room softly.
Mushk turns her head and sees Irtaza standing there.
