Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington) novel Chapter 707

Lizetta, seizing the opportunity to wield the power of a fox borrowing the tiger's strength, didn't hesitate for a moment.

Whipping out her phone, she calmly switched on the video recorder and aimed it at the reporters before inquiring, "So, tell me, who sent you guys?"

"Miss, nobody sent us here. We're all professional entertainment journalists. Interviewing Ms. Yolanda is part of our job. If we've offended Ms. Yolanda in any way, we're willing to apologize," one of the reporters tried to explain, his voice quivering under the icy gaze of Remington.

Lizetta, focusing on the tallest and leanest among the reporters, who had been particularly aggressive earlier, couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle.

"You're telling me that as professional entertainment journalists, you'd pass up the chance to dig into a top-tier celebrity's love life and instead obsess over someone barely known? Not to look down on Yolanda, but compared to Hamilton, she's practically a newbie."

Ignoring the obvious scoop and fixating on a nobody made no sense unless there was a reason.

Despite her probing, the reporters remained tight-lipped.

Nodding understandingly, Lizetta then turned to Remington with a meaningful remark, "I thought Mr. Dashiell was a big shot in Zion City. Seems I was mistaken."

The reporters were dumbfounded. Was this woman out of her mind, openly mocking Mr. Dashiell?

They were secretly hoping she'd anger Mr. Dashiell enough to have her, and possibly Yolanda, thrown out, which would allow them to complete their mission.

But what happened next left them even more shocked. Far from being angry, Remington's usually stoic face softened into an almost delighted surprise at her words.

Actually, Remington was quite flattered.
