She Outshines Them All (Athena and Matthew) novel Chapter 219

Chapter 219
Jaden was so happy to see Luna. “Wait a minute,” he said..
He then went upstairs, took a light green long-handled umbrella, and placed it over Luna’s head. “Now, let’s go.”
“I really like this kind of umbrella. It’s antique and poetic.” Luna praised. She was delighted every time she saw it. She wrapped her arm around Jaden’s and signaled that she was ready to head out, too.
Seconds after that, Luna’s body stiffened slightly,
“What are you doing? How can you hook on to his arm just like that? Isn’t this what only couples do? Thoughts dashed through her head.
Luna wanted to pull her arm back, but Jaden’s face showed nothing amiss. He didn’t seem to notice what she had done. If her reaction was too big, she would feel like she had exposed her intentions again.
Never mind, since there’s no one else here. I need to be calm and forthcoming,’ she thought
The two of them held an umbrella and walked out of the house together.
The crew who were checking equipment and taking test shots on the field were speechless.
Although the crew was already used to seeing them two being close to each other, they thought Jaden and Laana went a little too far today.
The director’s eyes lit up. He slapped his thigh excitedly. “Hurry up and take a photo of their backs with the telephoto.
The photographer was very experienced. He didn’t need the director to remind him and had already aimed his professional camera at their backs.
When Luna was with jaden, her state of mind was especially good. She would have this natural and lively expression, an extremely vibrant charm in her eyes, and she somehow becomes very photogenic and compelling, even impressing the critical high-definition cameras and close-up shots.
The photographer did not go any closer, much less take a direct shot at Jaden
Jaden still didn’t like being on camera, but he was fine with showing his back and being shot from afar.
He and Luna walked through the vegetable field.
Although it was winter, there were still a lot of vegetables growing in the field.
These vegetables were covered in white antifreeze bags. There were yams, asparagus, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, and so on.
Not far away stood a few greenhouses. There were tomatoes, chives, garlic sprouts, lettuce, spinach, and so on growing in
them
Luna felt happy every day when she saw these vegetables. She felt that they were filled with vitality and contributed to the
greenery.
Her body stiffened again.
So, I’m green, like immature? Luna shook her head to shake off this thought.
She then asked Jaden the usual. “What are we having tonight?”
She raised her head slightly with an expectant look on her face. She looked exactly like a cute but hungry little child crying

Chapter 219
“What are we having tonight”
That tickled Jaden. He replied, “I’ll cook whatever you want.”
Luna immediately said, “Broth! I want broth for dinner!”
Jaden nodded. “Alright, pick whatever you want to put into the broth”
Luna immediately squatted down and extended her hand to the best-looking radish. “Pull out the radish! I want to pull out the radish! This fresh and yummy radish!”
In the past, she didn’t like to eat radishes because it was a little bitter and tasted bland to her.
However, the radishes grown by the Donovan family were especially delicious. They didn’t have the faintest bitterness but had soft sweetness. Any soup or broth would taste fantastic if these radishes were added to it.
Luna had become a pro at spotting good-quality vegetables. She could tell at a glance that the radish she chose was the best among the rest and was the most tasteful one.
Jaden bent down and took her hand. “Wear an extra pair of gloves”
He took a pair of plastic gloves from his pocket. “Put them on.”
Luna was already wearing a pair of thin velvet gloves. The plastic gloves Jaden gave her were larger and could be easily worn over her thin velvet gloves.
She chuckled, put on the gloves, and happily dug up the soil and pulled out the radishes.
Jaden stood beside her with the umbrella. He didn’t help her but watched her pull it out.
After pulling out the radish, Luna looked left and right. There was nothing she could use to carry it. She patted the soil off the radish and stuffed it into Jaden’s coat pocket.
Jaden didn’t say anything and let Luna do whatever she wanted as long as it made her happy.
Luna pulled out another radish and then hooked her arm around Jaden’s. “Let’s go to the greenhouse to get some chives. We’ll make chive and cream cheese toast tonight.”
Around 600 feet away from where they were standing. Linda hid behind a few bare trees. She was observing them through a pair of binoculars and was filled with hatred and jealousy.
“There are only a few days left until Christmas. Why is that woman still here?
The two of them have their arms hooked together, hold an umbrella together, and even pick vegetables together in the field. What an eyesore!
‘I simply can’t wrap my head around this. What was so good about that skinny woman?
“She’s not even as pretty as Athena who lives in Mid-Level Mountain Garden, Linda whined in her head.
A gust
of cold wind blew and dropped snow on her.
She couldn’t help but shiver more and clasped tighter onto her fur coat.
Linda hankered to go back to her 400-thousand-dollar Porsche and drink her hot coffee, or go to the Donovan family’s old house and drink Jaden’s spring-water-brewed coffee.
However, if she showed herself, Jaden would definitely chase her away.

Yet, she was unwilling to leave just like that.
After all, it wasn’t easy for her to come all the way here.

Linda’s stepdaughter was in her third year of high school, her stepson was in his first year of high school, and both of them were staying in Hupool City. She needed to make them breakfast and dinner every day and help them with their homework. She had to ensure that their results were outstanding.
These requests were written in the will that Bush had left her.
Linda needed to get her stepdaughter into a good university and get her stepson into a key high school so that she could get the most out of the inheritance.
Therefore, since September, she had no choice but to stay in Hupool City to take care of the two children. She didn’t have the time to look for Jaden.
It wasn’t until it was almost Christmas that the two children went to their grandmother’s house for the festive season, and that gave her the time to return to Kitmore City. That was how she found time to look for Jaden and the old folks of the Donovan family
What made Linda uncomfortable was that she had asked the villagers, but they said that the old folks of the Donovan family had not returned to the village.
Without Fiona and Cade as her “guardian angel”, how would she dare to appear in front of Jaden?
Linda could only forgo the easy way out and took the longer and tougher route. She went to the ne g village, set off from there, crossed a large paddy field, climbed a few desolate hills, and tramped over a wasteland. It took her nearly two hours to get to where she was currently just to see Jaden.
In the end, she saw Jaden holding an umbrella and walking romantically in the snow with Luna, and that crushed her heart.
I possess both beauty and wealth, and my husband is dead. Now the only thing I lack is a good mant
‘No matter what, I won’t give up on Jaden!
‘Otherwise, what’s the point of holding back my disgust and serving an old coot for so long?”
The more Linda thought about it, the more she hated that skinny woman next to Jaden. She thought to herself, I must find out everything about that woman and find a way to blackmail her to leave Jaden!
She took out her phone with a telephoto function, which was worth several thousands of dollars, zoomed in, aimed it at the woman’s face, and took photos one after another.
As she watched, she couldn’t help but exclaim at something peculiar, “Huh? This woman looks familiar. Where have I seen her before?”
No matter how hard Linda tried to jog down memory lane, she couldn’t remember where she had seen her before.
Seeing that the snow was getting heavier and the temperature was getting lower, Linda couldn’t take the freezing cold anymore and could only whisper in her heart, Forget it, I’ll take more photos first. If investigate that woman when I have the chance in the future.”
She quickly took dozens of photos and left the place, trembling
Luna, on the other hand, stuffed the vegetables she liked into Jaden’s pockets and arms. She smiled and said, “I’m going to start work very soon. I’ll leave these to you.”
Jaden smiled and handed her the oil-paper umbrella. “Alright. I’m going to cook now.”
