Chapter 122
When the man in front of her heard this, his eyes grew colder and colder, their depths filled with a chill. Scarlett was too timid to glance at Sebastian, so she quickly swiveled her head and told Dev. “Let’s go ” Upon hearing this. Dev’s expression relaxed considerably.
Scarlett’s choice of him at this moment was the most favorable outcome, regardless of their relationship.
He tucked away his heavy heart, embraced Scarlett tightly, and silently passed Sebastian by
Sebastian swiveled his head and fixed his gloomy gaze upon Scarlett, as if trying to pierce her with his eyes.
Scarlett, her eyes quickly lowering in an effort to dodge his burning stare, felt his hand suddenly clamp down on her arm.
Using a lot of strength, that well–defined hand pulled her down from Dev’s arms.
Scarlett was caught off guard by this pull and fell to the ground.
The wound on her back, abrading the ground, made her break out in a cold sweat.
Without caring about the pain, she quickly reached out and retrieved the jacket that had fallen off her.
Before she could lay a hand on the corner of the coat, Sebastian kicked her away.
Her body then warmed up and was snugly enveloped in a black coat.
This coat was so big that even her legs that were exposed were covered.
The faint fragrance that wafted through the air left Scarlett stunned.
Raising her head slowly, she looked at Sebastian, who stood before her.
She momentarily felt that he was insane.
He publicly snatched her away from Dev.
Was he not apprehensive that others would be aware of their relationship?
“Sebastian!”
Dev’s face turned livid with anger when he saw Sebastian treating Scarlett this way, and without regard for Sebastian’s identity, he rushed forward to punch him.
Just now, when Scarlett’s clothes slipped off, Sebastian’s group of bodyguards quickly averted their gaze, not wanting to
intrude.
Upon noticing Dev’s hostility, they immediately spun around and halted him.
No matter how powerful Dev was, he was no match for the more than twenty bodyguards who quickly pressed him to the ground, rendering him immobile.
Leo stepped forward and patted him on the shoulder. He smiled and said, “Mr. Gatsby, my second young master is dealing with some personal issues. Could you please wait over there?”
His polite tone belied his rough movements, and despite his protests, several bodyguards forcibly dragged him away.
Scarlett, upon seeing this, quickly exclaimed to Sebastian, “Mr. Jackman, I’ll accompany you. Please don’t harm him.”
Dev’s wound on the back of his head was still bleeding, yet he was no match for the group of professional bodyguards.
Sebastian, however, acted as if he hadn’t heard, raising his slender fingers to grasp her chin.
“Are you concerned about him? Did he get a good night’s sleep?”
His words were blunt and mortifying
Scarlett pursed her lips, not knowing what to say.
Releasing her chin, he lifted her coat and gazed at the clavicle beneath, covered in hickeys. His expression abruptly cooled.
“Truly inseparable, huh? Even doing that thing while menstruating…”
