Chapter 124
Scarlett, still breathing heavily, mustered all her strength and turned her head to see Sebastian running at full speed. “Hurry up and go after your fiancée. Don’t worry about me.”
These words were spoken intermittently, threatening to take her life.
She leaned against the passenger seat, struggling to breathe, yet the suffocating sensation remained.
Sebastian furrowed his brows and glanced at her, not uttering a word. His face cold, he quickly drove the car into the hospital.
Scarlett, weakly stretching out her little hand, saw him holding her and quickly walking towards the hospital. She grabbed
his white shirt.
“I don’t fancy going to the hospital…”
As she touched his skin, her cold fingers sent a chill through him, as if the temperature had suddenly dropped in anticipation of death, making his heart tremble.
“Be well, be well. There’s oxygen in the hospital.”
After comforting her, Sebastian held her tightly in his arms and walked directly to the clinic.
The person in charge of the hospital, patrolling the clinic, swiftly greeted Sebastian upon seeing him.
“Mr. Jackman…”
“Lanny, heart disease and oxygen!”
Lanny, clad in a white coat,
She quickly led Sebastian
about to speak when Sebastian interrupted her.
woman in his arms, who was unable to breathe, to the ward next door.

“Mr. Jackman, accompany me, if you
Lanny pushed open the door of the empty ward and, with Sebastian’s help, swiftly placed her on the bed. He quickly pulled out the oxygen mask and assisted Scarlett in putting it on.
Scarlett sucked in the fresh oxygen, feeling like a fish out of water that had suddenly returned to the pond and been given a new life.
She grabbed the oxygen mask and desperately inhaled, filling her suffocating heart with oxygen.
Sebastian saw her face regaining some vitality, and his tense expression slowly returned to its usual cold and aloofness.
He looked at Lanny, inquiringly asking. “How is Scarlett doing with her examination?”
Lanny, listening for a while, sensed that Scarlett’s heart was not right.
“After taking in oxygen, she regained her strength. As for the specifics of the situation, she needs to undergo further examination.”
She refrained from speaking recklessly in front of Sebastian before the results of the examination for heart failure came out. Sebastian tersely commanded. “Conduct a full body examination of her.”
Lanny nodded. “I’ll go ahead and get the arrangements sorted out.”
Scarlett, taking in oxygen, overheard the conversation between the two and ceased her struggles.
No matter how hard she tried, she could not conceal her illness any longer; it was fine if Sebastian knew it, sooner or later, whatever.
After Lanny left, Sebastian took out his mobile phone and called Leo, “Do away with the hotel surveillance and gag Dev.”
Leo responded respectfully, “Yes,”
Only then did Sebastian put down the phone and look down at Scarlett. “Why didn’t you let me know you had a heart condition?”
His expression remained as cold and indifferent as ever, as if he was not concerned about her illness but instead blamed her for concealing it.
As Scarlett gazed upon his cold and indifferent visage, the faint ripples of emotion that had just been stirred up gradually dissipated.
She raised her hand to remove her oxygen mask in order to speak, but a firm grip on her wrist stopped her.
“Don’t move.”
