She’s Married, Sir! Novel Chapter 13
“Let’s begin drawing lots. Those who draw a pair, switch seats with one another. Can’t sit beside each other.”
Annie placed the paper ball on the table, catching two people with the same number and automatically forming a pair.
The first four players lined up, with the first two catching the numbers one and two playing first.
Unfortunately, Scarlett got two.
She raised her gaze to the other side and saw that Sebastian had caught one, and he was going against her.
Annie, who had also caught one, raised her eyebrows at Scarlett. She couldn’t wait to mess Scarlett up!
There’s still another two. Who got it?”
Lance hesitated for a moment, but still opened the paper ball in his hand.
He smiled at Scarlett, “I don’t know how to play cards very well. You’ll have to guide me.”
Scarlett replied with a embarrassed smile.
She was actually a good girl and rarely played this kind of card game.
Just now, Annie had spoken the rules so quickly that neither Scarlett or Lance caught what she was saying.
Scarlett took the cards from Annie. When she saw how disorganized the cards were, she was even more certain Annie was cheating.
Annie flipped her fingers a few times and handed her the last card. “Miss Sales, let’s begin.”
This seductive voice made Scarlett feel very uncomfortable.
–
If she lost one game, Annie would have to take off her dress, as if she were being stripped naked and watched by others no different from an escort. Perhaps, this was Annie’s revenge on James’s words earlier.
Scarlett could see it clearly, but the cards in her hands were horrible. Lance wasn’t helping either by basically laying back. and watching her. Meanwhile, Sebastian wasn’t even giving her a chance.
Scarlett was so enraged that her face turned blue. James, who was beside her, noticed this and swiftly embraced her, settling her on his lap to console her. “Don’t fret, I’ll show you.”
Scarlett focused on the cards and did not notice that she was already sitting on James’s lap. She was just anxious and turned her head to ask James. “What do I do?”
James took the card from her hand and quickly set up a set of similar colors and threw it out.
“Mr. Forrest, you are cheating Annie glanced at it unhappily.
“Speak like a true loser. James raised his eyebrows.
Annie snorted, put away the card, and leaned against the sofa.
When Scarlett saw Annie like this, her tightly–knitted brows finally relaxed slightly
She was a little happy and turned back to look at James with a smile.
When James saw her smile, his heart itched and he couldn’t help but kiss her.
The cold touch instantly pulled back Scarlett’s thoughts. Only then did she realize that she was sitting on James’s lap.
She struggled to push him away, but James hugged her and couldn’t bear to let go. “If you move again, I will have you right
here”
These words frightened Scarlett so much that she no longer dared to move. She turned her head back with a pale face, and her gaze collided with Sebastian once again.
This time, the saw clearly that his eyes were scarlet, and there was a bloodthirsty chill that made her heart suddenly
tremble
