Scarlett noticed Susan was level-headed and not swayed by Cosmo’s honeyed words, which made her feel much more 

relaxed. 

Fearing that Susan would be betrayed by Cosino once more after she had gone, she wondered what she should do. 

Scarlett’s expression dimmed as she thought of this, stirring up a multitude of emotions in her heart that left her feeling restless and uneasy. 

Seeing that she was still worried about her, Susan hurriedly said. “Don’t fret. I’m not into romance. I won’t go out of my way for a guy!” 

After she said this, she thrust out her chest and declared confidently, “I can handle it!” 

Then she opened the door and waved to Scarlett. “I’m off to make a fortune!” 

Scarlett was amused by Susan and waved at her “Take care on the road!” 

Susan nodded, slipping on her sunglasses, then got into the car and drove away from the hospital. 

Scarlett, having just watched Susan leave, turned and entered the hospital. No sooner had she stepped out of the elevator than she heard a loud slap 

Scarlett glanced and beheld a woman, dressed in exquisite attire, standing at the entrance of the director’s office, fiercely slapping Lanny 

She swiftly strode to Lanny and tugged her, who would rather take a slap than retaliate. 

“Dr. Richard, are you feeling okay? 

Scarlett felt distressed upon seeing Lanny’s swollen face. 

“I’m doing well.” 

Lanny shook her head at Susan, looking at the woman with an expression of indifference. 

“Miss Susy, you’ve slapped me ten times in a row, is that sufficient?” 

Miss Susy glanced at Scarlett, who stood up to help her and her tense face displayed a hint of disdain. 

She powerfully twisted her wrist, stepped firmly in her high heels, and strode ahead of Launy. 

“Do you know who requested that I teach you a lesson?” 

Lanny calmly nodded, not daring to defy 

Miss Susy snorted and, raising her hand, gently patted her cheek. 

*Executive Lanny, remember, don’t rile up my second brother. You don’t want to upset him.” 

She spun around, her high heels clicking on the floor, and stepped into the elevator. 

“Stop!” 

Scarlett stared at the woman’s haughty back and icily declared, “Either apologize or I will report it to the police! Your call!” 

After beating someone, this woman’s arrogance and despotism in leaving was too much! 

Upon hearing this, Miss Susy immediately ceased her actions and slowly spun around, her cold and proud gaze scrutinizing Scarlett from head to toe. 

“Are you threatening me?” 

Scarlett, not replying, took out her phone and dialed the police. 

However, Lanny prevented her from dialing 110. “No, she is Mr. Jackman’s cousin”
