She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian) novel Chapter 242

Chapter 243

She was confused, but Susan said apologetically. “I need to answer this”

Scarlett nodded slightly, and Susan, in haste, walked out of the bedroom, shutting the door behind her.

She quessed that many things must have happened in the past three years, but she didn’t expect Susan and Lance…

Outside the door, Susan held her phone and murmured, “I’m sorry, but I have to be with a friend tonight, so I won’t be able to come over.”

Lance’s hand holding the goblet paused for a moment. “What friend?”

Susan said vaguely. “A female friend.”

Lance placed the goblet on the table and uttered, disinterestedly. “What a letdown”

After the call was hung up. Susan let out a sigh of relief and turned to walk back to the bedroom.

Seeing Scarlett sitting on the bed quietly waiting for her, Susan felt guilty again,

She walked over and sat down by the bed, hesitating a few times before mustering up the courage to confess to Scarlett

‘I’m sorry. Scarlett. I know that I should not have anything to do with the Jackmans. After all, Sebastian has…”

“It doesn’t matter.”

Scarlett interjected gently. “Susan, don’t fret about me. As long as you’re content, it’s alright. It’s just…”

A hint of concern showed on her face. “Lance is well-known for being a ladies’ man. He’s had many relationships in the past. If you’re with him, I’m afraid you’ll get hurt eventually

Had she not fallen in love with such a man, it would have been fine, however, if she did, she would likely be hurt just like Scarlett.

When Susan heard her say this, he was not so nervous. “Don’t worry, I am with him because of revenge.”

Scarlett didn’t understand “What revenge?”

Susan clenched her fists and gnashed her teeth. “Susy, Scarlee, Sebastian, the three of them beat you up and sped up your death. Of course, want to take revenge on them!”

Scarlett’s heart trembled upon hearing these names, how could Susan possibly prevail against them?

She straightened up, pulled Susan over, and examined her body from top to bottom. “Susan, are you injured?”

Susan, being a weak woman, was in too much danger to seek revenge on them, so they would have attacked her had she tried.

Susan held her hand and smiled at her. “No. I have never been injured.”

Scarlett suddenly breathed a sigh of relief “Thank goodness you’re not hurt. I’ll get even with them. I figure out a way to settle the score!”

Susan shook his head at her. “You don’t have to do anything Susy and Scarlee have already suffered retribution..
