Millie was taken aback. She didn’t expect Winston to check the security footage. Nevertheless, that no longer mattered to her. 

She applied a plaster on Winston’s hand before closing the first aid kit, saying, “All done.” 

Winston frowned. He was displeased by how indifferent she seemed. 

“Millie, I said I saw the security footage,” he repeated. 

She looked at him and replied with a smile, “I heard you.‘ 

Winston’s frown deepened. Was that all? Wasn’t she going to ask for an apology or something? 

Noting Winston’s confusion, Millie got up to return the first aid kit to the drawer while saying coolly, “In the past, I loved you, so I cared about your opinion of me. But now…” 

Turning back around, she declared, “It doesn’t matter to me anymore.” 

Winston licked his lips. His eyes flashed darkly as he asked with an unreadable expression, “You don’t love me anymore?” 

“You’re so smart, Mr. Greer,” Millie said with a captivating smile as she leaned against the cabinet. 

Loving him had already tormented her so much, so how could he expect her to continue loving him?
