Layla’s lack of interest was obvious, and Arthur couldn’t help but feel disheartened. 

Thus, Millie could only help her grandfather. She chimed in, “Grandma, it’s a rare herb, you know.” 

Upon hearing those words, Layla narrowed her eyes. A herb? If it was an herb, then she was definitely interested. 

Arthur sighed and commented, “See that, Mills? Your grandmother is more interested in herbs than anything else. Even more than me!” 

Millie chuckled as she grabbed a bag of chips. 

The moment Layla learned that it was an herb, she began carefully unwrapping the box/She slowly peeled away the layers of wrapping. As soon as the box opened and the Aspher came into view, her eyes lit up with joy. 

Layla looked up at Millie, then at Arthur. She was so overwhelmed with excitement that she struggled to find the words. 

Was it Aspher? Did Millie and Arthur really get her the rare herb? 

“Is this really Aspher?” Layla asked in disbelief. 

Millie nodded firmly. That was indeed Aspher. 

“Grandpa asked me to help him find it ages ago, and I just found it recently. I guess luck was on my side,” Millie patiently explained to Layla, munching on her chips. 

Layla nodded with satisfaction. “Mills, you’ve done me a huge favor.” 

However, Millie was puzzled. What did Layla mean by that? 

“How come Mills is getting all the credit? I helped too! I’m the one who asked her to find the Aspher!” Arthur huffed, subtly fishing for Layla’s praise. 

Layla took his hand and nodded earnestly. “Yes, dear, you’ve been a great help too!” 

She then rose to her feet. “I’m taking the Aspher to the lab right now! Our research will finally make a breakthrough with this,” she announced.
