Sold to Mr. Arrogant novel Chapter 81

I grabbed the envelope and started uncovering its content, there were a lot of images taken of me and Shawn sitting in the bar yesterday and talking in the car, the windows were foamed so there were no plus eighteen photos but the reason why we stopped for three hours and remained in the car was pretty evident.

"I expected that my son seeks pleasure from you but why did he waste his time and meet with your friends?" Gerald asked with contempt filling his voice.

I seriously wish to hit him in the face right here and right now but miserably I can't.

"He wanted to meet with my friends..." I stated the obvious boldly.

"Lily, you must not understand what I am trying to imply here so let me speak more honestly. I was clear when I informed you that you would be disposable in no time, I don't want my son to get attached with these empty feelings that he has for you..."

Did he think that our relationship would keep on deteriorating because I definitely thought the same, that wasn't what happened though? What should I say to him? I stoop up silently not knowing how to respond.

"He even asked me to take over the company, it seems that he found out about what I did to you, and therefore, I will have to get rid of you as soon as possible." Gerald continued.

"I did not tell him anything, I swear," I uttered.

"I know, I am the one at fault here. I did not expect him to love you that much to the extent that he is even plotting behind my back. I can't afford to lose my son because of some bitch like you." Gerald added in an angry voice that radiated through the mansion's walls.

"We can't have him suspect that I am the one who got rid of you though if you know what I mean..."

I totally know what he means, I know that Shawn mentioned something about protecting my friends but I can't bet on that. I can't bet on my friends' lives, even if this will result in our separation, I am more than ready to make the sacrifice.

"I will leave on my own..." I started.

"Good girl, as if you have run away when you had the chance. That how this scenario should look like..." Gerald explained coldly.

"I understand," My voice was determined but cracked, imagining not ever seeing Shawn again made me worried and sad.

"Here's a ticket to France reserved under your name, I want you to write a nice lovely letter to Shawn informing him that he is not worth fighting for," Gerald ridiculed.

"Of course I don't need to tell you what will happen if you refuse or..."

"I know," I swiftly replied.

I pulled the ticket from Gerald's hands and headed to my room in despair. I have only one day to spend with him, I will fly to France the day after tomorrow. I started writing the letter, tears were falling over my shirt as I wrote the second line of my letter. I regretted hearing his confession yesterday and even that we did it.
