Chapter 1005 Blacklisted By The Entire Industry
Alex was not the least bit perturbed in the face of Charles’ sycophantic treatment. Instead, it all seemed natural to him.
Picking up the glass of water Charles served him on the table, he took a sip before replying unhurriedly. “I’ll pass on the villa by the hillside. I’ve already bought one a moment ago and personally experienced the service provided by Del Costa.”
When Charles heard that, he swung a cutting gaze at Kiara, Zion, and Yannie at once. In a chilly voice, he demanded, “What exactly happened? Did the lot of you disrespect Mr. Jefferson in any way?”
At that question, Kiara and Zion both hung their heads, even as their knees trembled incessantly. They did not quite know how to answer their employer.
Despite the man’s respectful attitude toward Alex, his unbridled aura directed at them was so oppressive that they were scared witless.
Putting down the glass in his hand, Alex interjected airily, “How could there be no surveillance cameras in a big company like yours, Mr. Sewell? You’ll know after taking a look at the surveillance footage yourself.”
Upon hearing that, Charles immediately flashed the man an apologetic smile. Not daring to tarry, he hastily checked the surveillance footage for after Alex entered the sales gallery.
Subsequently, he watched a replay of everything that had transpired, witnessing Kiara’s condescending attitude and her repeated insults toward Alex. Worse still, even Zion failed to show the latter any respect.
Meanwhile, Kiara trembled interminably as she listened to her own arrogant and domineering voice playing in the footage. The urge to rush over and slap herself back in time to wake herself up seized her.
Alas, there was no room for regret now that things had come to this. She could only hope that her employer would be lenient in punishing her.
Charles’ face was as black as thunder by the time he finished watching the footage. Never had he expected to have such unprofessional employees like Kiara and Zion in his own company.
If it were in the past, he would not have bothered much, but the two idiots had currently offended. someone even he could not afford to cross. As such, he could not possibly let them off so easily.
Pounding a hand on the table, he roared. “Is this how you treat clients? When did Del Costa Real Estates hire unprofessional staff like you two?”
Such terror struck Kiara and Zion that their legs went weak, and they fell to the ground on their knees. Right then, their previous arrogance toward Alex had completely dissipated.
“We’ve realized our mistakes, Mr. Sewell! Please give us a chance, won’t you? I swear that I’ll never again make the same mistake in the future!” Kiara pleaded, inching two steps forward on her knees to Charles and tugging at the hem of his pants.
“All this was her fault, Mr. Sewell! It had absolutely nothing to do with me! She deliberately fanned the flames! It was only because I got my wires crossed and believed her that I treated this gentleman that way!” Zion declared, pointing at Kiara.
Considering the present situation, Charles would never let them off the hook. Thus, he had no choice but to push all the blame on Kiara. By doing so, he might be able to dodge the bullet and continue being the company’s manager.
After all, it was not easy to find such a great job that paid him a hundred thousand per month for doing nothing.
“In the future?” Snorting coldly, Charles continued, “There’s no future for the two of you. With you having offended Mr. Jefferson, no one can save you. From this moment on, you two are fired. On top of that, I’ll have everyone within the industry blacklist you both. I shall see which company dares to employ you henceforth!”
