Chapter 1177 Chaos 

Jordan and the others were having so much fun that they did not even notice that two huge creatures were silently heading toward them. 

Elijah, who had been watching from a distance, could not help but feel anxious for them. Given the current situation, shouting out loud to warn them would undoubtedly provoke the man-eating bears, but if he did not do that, they would still be attacked by the creatures. It was truly a dilemma. 

Unable to think of a solution, Elijah turned to Alex for help and asked worriedly, “Alex, they are being targeted by the man-eating bears and will surely die! Can you find a way to save them?” 

“Previously, they humiliated you so much. Weren’t you thinking of getting revenge on them? Why have you changed your mind now?” the latter asked with a smile. 

“I wasn’t angry. I just hated that they called me a good-for-nothing and hated it even more when they insulted you too, Alex. But no matter what, we’re competing in the same challenge. If I stood by and did nothing, it would be on my conscience for the rest of my life. I know you have great fighting skills, Alex. Can you please help them? I’m begging you. But if you’re not confident in going up against the man- cating bears, then forget it,” Elijah said. 

At that moment, someone screamed a short distance away, looking at a spot not far behind them with a terrified expression and shouting, “Ah! A man-eating bear! There’s a man-eating bear here!” 

The person’s words alerted everyone to the presence of the man-eating bear, and chaos erupted in the small camp of a few dozen people. Everyone was running around in disarray and hiding, not knowing what to do. 

This situation only made things more chaotic. After all, there was a man-eating bear in front of them, and the other bear was nowhere to be seen. It was highly likely that they would be walking straight into the lion’s den.

“Climb the trees quickly! Once you’re up in the trees, they won’t be able to reach you!” Jordan shouted at the chaotic crowd. 

Despite his selfish and withdrawn nature. he was undoubtedly much more composed than the others. At the very least, he could remain calm in the face of danger, which was why they allowed him to take the 

lead. 

There were many people but only two bears, as many of them climbed up the trees upon hearing Jordan’s words. 

For the men living there, climbing trees was nothing special to them, so their movements were incredibly swift and agile. In no time, almost everyone had climbed up the trees. 

However, those being pursued by the man-eating bears were not so lucky. With just one swipe of their claws, the creatures shattered the shoulder bones of their victims, rendering them helpless to defend themselves. They were left at the mercy of the man-eating bears, who tore them into pieces. Within a short span of a few minutes, seven or eight people had already fallen victim to those vicious creatures. 

It pained those people hiding in the trees to see their companions killed below, but none dared to go down and save them. In this situation, going down would be no different than seeking death. 

Even though they were hiding in the trees, they were still very scared. After all, the animals below them were not wolves or wild boars, but ferocious man-cating bears. 

Someone with a weaker emotional capacity could not help but burst out crying, “I don’t want to participate in this challenge anymore. I’m done! I want to go home. I don’t want to stay in this horrible place anymore.”
