It was supposed to be Elsa’s day off. She just wanted to make a withdrawal and go have fun but she did not expect something like this to happen.
Fortunately, she ran into Alex and was once again saved by him. Elsa was more than grateful for what he had done.
Alex wanted to take care of the wound himself but the police wanted his statement so he had to go to the hospital with them.
When they reached the hospital, Kate kept quiet while she stayed by Alex’s side.
It was time to remove the bullet so the nurse brought the anesthetic, to which rejected politely, “I’m fine without it.”
For someone who practiced martial arts, the nervous system was essential and anesthetics would only serve to bring more harm than good.
“But it’s going to hurt really bad,” explained the nurse.
“It’s fine. Just bring it on.” Alex smiled at the nurse to assure her that he was ready to take the pain.
She was troubled by the request but could only agree to it and proceeded to remove the bullet without any anesthetic.
The bullet had dug in pretty deep and the nurses could almost feel the pain themselves as the pliers went
Alex clenched his teeth in pain while Kate turned away as she could not bear to look. Why did he have to play hero and reject getting anesthetic?
The nurses were skillful enough to remove the bullet from Alex within a few minutes before stopping the bleeding, suturing the wound, and quickly bandaged it up.
When it was all done, Elsa brought a few officers along with her into Alex’s room.

Looking at his bandaged shoulder, Elsa teased him, “I guess now you can finally tell me your name.”
Alex chuckled and joked in response, “The name’s Alex and I don’t ever want to see you again.”
Elsa was startled as Alex continued, “Because bad things always happen when I meet you.”
“That’s because you’re riddled with bad luck.”
Elsa was laughing before she remembered that she was there for official business. She then coughed softly before making her request, “Your ID, please.”
Alex took his ID out and handed it over to Elsa.
“So you’re not from Nebula City. I’d never have guessed it from the way you speak,” joked Elsa.
“It’s alright. I have been around for almost ten years now,” responded Alex.
“Now I just need your phone number and we’re done.” Elsa returned the ID back to Alex and he gave her
his number.

“Thank you for what you’ve done today. You have a good rest,” Elsa bid her goodbye and was ready to leave with the other officers.
“Officer, are the robbers dead?” asked Kate suddenly before Elsa left the room.
Kate saw six of the robbers dropped onto the floor after Alex fired at them and she was wondering if Alex, would be guilty of murder if they died.
“They’re lucky enough to still be alive but even if they manage to recover, they’ll get nothing short of a death sentence for the crime they’ve committed,” answered Elsa before walking out of the room.
