Auriel’s sudden appearance managed to break the awkwardness between Maggie and Autumn. Alex and Auriel made their way in together. 

Everyone else smiled a little before hurriedly catching up. 

Alex had instructed Flynn to prepare the King Chambers. Once Alex arrived, the dishes were served. 

He had specially invited these people and prepared the King Chambers for them. He felt that since they respected him a lot, he should not be stingy. 

But of course, even if he had invited these big shots to eat street food, they would still be happy all the 

same. 

The liquor prepared for that day was Nebula City’s most famous hundred–year wine, which was sold for over fifty thousand in the market. On occasions, one wouldn’t be able to get their hands on it even if they, had the money. 

The dishes that were served were also Happy Living’s best delicacies. Everything on the table would amount to over a million. 

Only the true big shots could get to eat such a grand meal. 

Alex was a person who valued courtesy and etiquette. Although Stefan and the others respected him as a god, he would not see himself as a god for real. 

There had to be basic trust and respect between people, especially when it came to big shots from their 

status. 

Maggie made her move quickly and sat on Alex’s right side. 

Upon seeing this, Stefan quickly smiled and said, “Mr. Jefferson, Autumn has admired you since a long time ago. Why not you let her sit on your left to serve you?” 

Autumn blushed furiously. Just as she was about to take her seat beside Alex, Auriel suddenly grinned and sat down. Feeling, awkward, Autumn had no choice but to sit beside Auriel. 

“Serving? As his disciple, of course it’s my job to do so!” Auriel said while smiling. 

“Of course, of course,” Stefan responded, smiling back. 

“Take a seat, everyone/Don’t stand on ceremony,” Alex said. 

Everyone waited for Alex to sit down first before they did; this was also a form of respect for Alex. 

After everyone took their seats, Auriel poured a drink for Alex. Everyone else also filled their cups. 

Alex raised his glass and said, “It’s fate for us to meet in Nebula City. I am humbled that you all favor and respect me as who I am. Dr. Skyworth’s granddaughter here is my only disciple, Ms. Grant and the Jones family are also important partners to me in my tech dome project. In fact, we are all one big family. I hope that we can all continue to work well together. I don’t want to be too long–winded. So, here’s to all of you!” 

Alex raised his wine glass to the air and downed it in one go.

“S–Sorry…” Maggie’s expression turned awkward and her face was red as a ripe apple. She did not dare to look at Alex. 

Upon seeing this, Alex said to the waiter, “Bring me a cup of ’82 Lafite.” 

The waiter hurriedly informed him, “Alex, the 82‘ Lafite is sold out. There are still two bottles left from yesterday but they’re all reserved by Felix.” 

“Mr. Jefferson, there’s no need. I drank too quickly just now and I’m not used to whisky’s taste. I’ll be okay after a few more drinks,” Maggie quickly interrupted. 

“Don’t worry about it. The purpose of drinking is to have fun and it doesn’t matter what kind of alcohol you drink. If you don’t like whisky, you can have red wine instead.”
