Chapter 977 Kidnap
Four Seas Corporation was undergoing restructuring, and as the chairman’s secretary, Jessica had a lot of matters she needed to review. She had to work overtime until nine o’clock at night before leaving the office.
After packing her belongings, Jessica planned to go out for a meal. She had been busy all day and hadn’t had a chance to eat properly.
As soon as she left the company, two people started to follow her from behind secretly, but Jessica, being engrossed in her phone, didn’t notice anything unusual.
When she reached a relatively deserted area, the two men emerged from a dark corner and threw a black sack over her head.
Not knowing what was happening, Jessica struggled with all her might. All of a sudden, someone applied tremendous pressure at the nape of her neck, causing her to pass out
Since the focation was rather secluded, hardly anyone noticed the kidnapping incident. Soon, a car pulled up at a villa in a remote area.
The door of the villa was pushed open, and Aiden strode out. When he saw the unconscious woman with an enticing figure lying in the car, a smirk of satisfaction spread across his face.
“Excellent. You’ve done a great job.” Aiden took out twenty thousand from his pocket and handed it to the two men as he spoke.
The two men who carried out Aiden’s bidding grimaced after seeing the stack of cash in their hands. Why are we receiving only ten thousand cach? Aiden promised us fifty thousand each previously!
The elder among the two patted Aiden’s shoulder in discontentment. Slapping Aiden’s face with the money in his hand, that man questioned Aiden fiercely. “What do you mean by this? Do you take us as fools? We brought the person here for you, and all you’re paying us is this measly amount? Are you treating us like beggars?”
Seeing that, Aiden’s bodyguards immediately surrounded the duo.
Aiden clutched his face, which was hurting after that man slapped him with the stack of cash. Anger surged within him as he couldn’t believe an insignificant figure dared to disrespect him in that manner.
Relying on the fact that he had the numerical advantage. Aiden didn’t take the two men seriously at all. He spat disdainfully and cursed, “You should feel grateful that I hired you. You should’ve been contented to receive ten thousand each. I can’t believe you’re whining about the amount being too little.”
After saying that, he booted the man who threatened him in the stomach and took back the money he had given the latter earlier.
Aiden was now reluctant to pay those men the twenty thousand. On any other day, he might not have cared about that sum, but Alex had caused him to lose seven hundred million that day, an amount large enough to let Aiden dwell on that matter and feel displeased for a few days.
The two brothers were infuriated. They had caught the person for Aiden, yet not only were they not paid, but they were also beaten by him.
“Aiden, no matter what, you’re the owner of a big company, so how can you go back against your word?” the older among the two men questioned Aiden.
