Spoiled by Eight Uncles (Lily) novel Chapter 1530

New Year had just passed in the Human Realm. The sun was shining brightly as the new year rolled by.

Spring had arrived earlier than usual this year. The accumulated snow in Clodston gradually melted into puddles and evaporated, causing the air to turn rather humid. Nonetheless, the trees by the roadside looked lush as they sprouted new buds.

A young girl with a backpack was stuffing a bun in her mouth as she ran out the door.

"Grandma! I'm off to school! I'm going to be late! Oh, no. I hope I won't be late!"

Another girl grabbed her hand and dragged her along, saying nonchalantly, "Let's go! Don't worry. I have tons of experience being late! If you get to the classroom and find that the teacher is already there, just sneak in through the back door! When the teacher turns to face the blackboard, you can slide in. If the teacher notices you before you get to your seat, just say you want to go to the bathroom!"

Bettany chased them out of the house with a pan in her hand, shouting sternly, "Hannah Crawford! What nonsense are you filling your sister's head with?!"

The two girls' faces changed as they fled from the demon chasing after them.

They couldn't help but burst into giggles after running away. Nonetheless, they didn't waste a second squirreling into the car.

Edward shifted gears, causing the engine to roar. "Don't worry! You won't be late as long as I'm here!"

The car roared and shot out like an arrow off its string.

Bettany had her hands on her hips as she glowered. "Oh, those two. Do they really think I've lost the skill to swing a pan around because of my hip?!"

Hugh felt particularly refreshed after his morning exercise, replying candidly, "I think you're just worrying for nothing! Lilly can finally go to school like normal girls her age. She's never been late before. So, what's the big deal if she experiences it once in her life? Still, that does sound like it has Hannah's prints all over. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that. Back in my day—"

Bang!

The pan promptly hit Hugh on the head.

Hugh wisely bit his tongue and fell silent.

He rubbed his head in response as he blinked at her innocently. It doesn't hurt. God knows how many times I've been on the receiving end of the pan! Fortunately, I eventually developed an iron skull because of her habit.

The flashy sports car roared to a stop at the school gate. Hannah immediately dragged Lilly through the school gate before they could get written up.

Alas, the bell rang as soon as they stepped foot into the school.

Hannah said in dismay, "We're really done for this time! My homeroom teacher is a strict disciplinarian. Lilly, I'll see you later!"

Hannah was in high school while Lilly was still in junior high. So, she couldn't afford to dawdle as she darted to the opposite building.

"Lilly, remember what I taught you! Don't panic! Stay calm! Good luck on your first day!"

Although Hannah's figure had long disappeared from her line of sight, her voice still echoed through half the school.

Lilly chuckled, muttering to herself, "Hannah, have you forgotten who I am? Maybe I wouldn't have to use your tricks!"

Although she was power-walking toward her classroom, she vanished the minute there wasn't anyone around, and she was in a blind spot of the cameras.

A few students in Grade 9 Class 3 whispered, "Hey, do you know the new student? She was absolutely amazing this morning."

"She arrives in a luxury car every day. She probably thinks it's not flashy enough. So, she decided to come to school on a sports call. Tsk."

"I hate those who love to show off just because they have some money at home!"

The homeroom teacher walked in with her high heels clacking against the ground. Then, she tossed her notebook on the desk, effectively silencing the chattering students!

"Our class has gotten our points deducted this week. Your exams are fast approaching! So, why are you all still slacking off?! Those who were late had better stand up before I say your names!"

She crossed her arms as she felt her temper rising. "You're all getting far too lax with your education. Don't you want to go to high school? Your parents work hard to earn money for your education. Is this how you repay them?!"

The innocent students could only stare at her dumbly.
