Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 28

There was no backing down for Sylvia now.

On one hand was Gideon Leith, whom she did not dare to offend, and on the other hand was Isaac Collins, who had just turned against them.

In any case, she was in the wrong.

She would never dare to offend Gideon Leith, so she had to sacrifice Isaac instead.

As long as she successfully insisted on Isaac and Nell’s relationship, everything she did today would be justified.

Not only that, Nell would be blamed for cheating as well.

Who was Gideon Leith? Would he allow his own woman to display disloyalty to him?

At that time, not only would Nell be unable to clear her name, her position in Gideon’s heart would also be shaken. It would not be too late to teach her a lesson then!

Thinking about this, the look in Sylvia’s eyes became a little colder.

However, in the next second, she heard Isaac’s urgent explanation. “President Leith, she’s lying! I’ve never even met Ms. Jennings before, so how could we be related? If you don’t believe me, you can investigate it!”

“Isaac Collins, how dare you act like such a coward now! Do you remember how you got on your knees and begged me to agree to you being together with Nell? How can you say such a thing now? Are you still a man?”

Isaac was so angry he wanted to explode. His fingertips trembled when he pointed at Sylvia.

“You sh*tty old hag. Now that things have come to this point, are you slandering me now for fear of being guilty? It’s fine if you slander me, but you’re also slandering Ms. Jennings! Do you think President Leith is stupid? Do you think he’ll be fooled by you so easily?”

Sylvia sneered.

“You still want to argue? Alright! You claim that I bribed you, but where’s the evidence? I haven’t even pursued the case of you drugging Nell! Now you’re blaming me instead?”

Isaac paled.

He was indeed the one who had spiked that glass of wine.

However, that was only because he was listening to Sylvia’s orders and acting according to the plan.

Now she wanted to brush the entire matter off her hands and pin everything on his head?

Isaac almost went mad with anger, but he could not say a single word. He only glared viciously at Sylvia.

They had always met up face-to-face to discuss this matter, so Sylvia knew that he could not come up with any evidence. She let out a proud snort at his expression.

Nell watched their interaction and suddenly thought of a word.

—Dogfight.

Was that not so?

Previously, they were on the same boat, but now that she got frightened by Gideon Leith, she immediately turned her back against him.

How unfortunate—

Nell smiled and heard the lazy and cold voice of the man beside her.

“I only want to hear the truth, but here you are arguing… Do you think I’m very free?”

The man dug a finger in his ear as impatience flashed on his face.

Sylvia and Isaac both turned pale with fright.

The former quickly piled on a smile and explained. “President Leith, well… I really didn’t know about your relationship with Nell. That child is truly hopeless. Since you already hooked up with someone like President Leith, you should have told your family clearly! It’s indeed our mistake that things have gotten to this point, but seeing that we’re in-laws, please don’t be angry.”

Gideon looked up and revealed a smile that did not seem like a smile.

“In-laws?”

Sylvia smiled a little awkwardly but continued to hold on.

If she thought about it, since Gideon and Nell were husband and wife, then as Nell’s grandmother, she was naturally Gideon’s grandmother as well.

Did that not make them in-laws?
