The Vordan Pavilion was originally a large flower workshop built by the Adams family. Now it became Paula's residence.
After learning about her situation, August found Sophie through his connections and renovated the Vordan Pavilion
following Sophie's advice. He even thoughtfully prepared all the necessary things for Burton.
One day ago, Lucia had checked the place and insistently asked August to have the surveillance system installed. The
monitors were everywhere except for private areas like the bed and the bathroom. No dead spots were left. Lucia wanted
to make sure of Paula's safety and prevent her from doing anything dangerous.
The treatment from the psychiatrist stabilized Paula. Her wounds had also been cleaned. Now she was sitting on the
balcony basking in the sun. At the door to the bedroom, Lucia and Burton exchanged looks.
"According to Dr. Capet, she can't have too many visitors, so you'll go in alone. I'll be here at the door, ready to help if
anything goes wrong."
Burton gave her a grateful look, lightly pushed open the door, and slowly went over. He called out in a low voice,
"Paula."
Paula slowly raised her head and vacantly looked at him. "Burton? What brings you here?"
As if something suddenly occurred to her, she hastily jumped off the windowsill and anxiously grabbed his wrist. "You
should go. My brother will be mad if he sees you here."
"Paula!" Heartbroken to see her like that, Burton took her into his arms, "Don't be afraid. He is not here."
"No?" she murmured before turning paler. The angry expression on her face was something he had never seen before.
"You never like my brother. What did you do to him?" She grabbed his collar and snarled, "My brother is the one who
loves me the most in this world. If you hurt him, I will never forgive you. Now get out of my face."
She struggled and pushed him away. Her eyes were crimson. Afraid of stimulating her again, Burton folded her in his
arms and soothed her in a trembling voice, "I didn't hurt your brother. He is fine and on a business trip. I take the
chance to come and visit you. Don't worry about it."
"Really?" Paula paused, gawked at him, but bellowed again, "No, you're lying. My brother has taken over Cloud
Technology. He doesn't need to go on business trips. Give my brother back!"
"Paula, instead of worrying about him, think about who put you into this. Him!" Burton got anxious and voiced his
thoughts.
He lifted the gauze on her arm and exposed her wounds to the air. "Open your eyes and take a look. These wounds were
left by him. Face the music."
The garish wounds came into view, and Paula seemed to lose all her strength. She weakly leaned against Burton's chest.
The tears trickled down her cheeks.
She couldn't help but whimper and murmur, "My brother is the one who loves me the most in this world. He is really
kind to me."
She seemed to be speaking to both Burton and herself. She burst into tears and wailed in his arms. Lucia watched
through the window and heavily bit her lips to prevent herself from crying. She intended to stop Burton from
stimulating Paula like that. She didn't dare to go in lest their conflict should be intensified.
This was between the two of them. They should take care of their own problem. As for how Burton was supposed to assist
in the treatment, Dr. Capet would be invited over for a detailed discussion. Lucia didn't notice it when August came to her
side.
He took her into his arms and gently comforted her, "Dr. Capet will cure her. Have faith in her. She will pull through and
go back to normal again."
The cool fragrance assailed her nostrils. She leaned back against his warm, broad chest and felt safe. At the same time,
her toughness collapsed. Unable to contain her emotions anymore, she turned around and wept in his arms.

In the office of Cloud Technology, Paul was having an important meeting with the partner. The project was crucial and would decide the future development of the branch. His phone vibrated on the table repeatedly and urgently. He rejected the call once again. The impatience got stronger in his eyes. It was Dianna calling from home. He knew what she was
going to say. Paula was acting up and smashing things again.
As time passed, his phone stopped vibrating, but Archie came into the office with a gloomy face. "Sorry for the
interruption, there is an urgency I need to report."
Dissatisfaction immediately appeared on the partner's face. "Mr. Thomas, it looks like your assistant doesn't know the
rules well."
"Sorry about this," Paul quickly apologized and chided Archie, "What do you think you're doing? What's more important
