Chapter 430

Meanwhile, in the bedroom in Shelbert Condominium, Bailey leaned against the floor-to-ceiling window with a glass of fruit juice in her hand. She was in a daze while watching the scenery outside the window.

Meanwhile, in the bedroom in Shelbert Condominium, Bailey leaned against the floor-to-ceiling window with a glass of fruit juice in her hand. She was in a daze while watching the scenery outside the window.

The door to the bedroom was pushed open from the outside, and Artemis walked in.

“What's the matter? Did my mom trouble you again with her words?”

Bailey weakly leaned in his embrace, shifting all her weight to him.

The familiar mint scent on his body filled her nerves, making her feel exceptionally safe.

Perhaps she was too anxious to realize her current situation was completely different from seven years ago.

She used to have no one to rely on. At that time, fear, insecurity, and anxiety filled her heart so much that it triggered her prenatal depression.

However, the situation was different now. She had Artemis and her three children by her side. Although she would still feel anxious, she could at least try to keep things under control.

“Artemis, I promised your mom that I will keep this baby.”

After Artemis heard that, something flickered in his eyes, and he exerted little strength into his arms around her waist.

“You don't have to bother about what she said. It's normal for elders to want more grandchildren, but you've delivered three children for the Luther family. That's more than enough. Let's maintain our previous decision, okay? I'll come with you when you go for the abortion.”

Bailey chuckled softly when she heard that. She caressed her flat belly with her palm and laced her fingers through his.

“Artemis, don't you feel it? The baby is growing inside of me. This is the best gift from God to us. We are in no place to abandon the baby. So why don't we accept our fate and keep the baby?”

Artemis did not say a word, but he wrapped her tightly in his arms.

He would love it if they could keep the baby.

It was his wish to see his baby slowly forming and growing inside the woman he loved and to stay by her side as they welcomed the baby into the world.

Noticing his silence, Bailey looked up at him and frowned. “Artemis, did you hear what I said?”

“Mm. I'm listening. Are you okay with keeping the baby? I don't want you to do this against your will because of what my mom told you.”

Bailey shot him a glare. “Did you really hear what I told you? It seems to me that you heard nothing. Otherwise, why would you say I changed my mind because of your mom?”

Reaching out to touch her delicate face, Artemis said in a hoarse voice, “I heard you, and I know what you think, but I don't want you to fall into depression again for the baby. You've suffered long enough to recover from your pregnancy seven years ago. I don't want to see you suffering again.”

Bailey snaked her arm around his and stood on tiptoes, planting a brief kiss on his thin lips. She smiled and said, “I believe you now.”

“Hmm? Believe in what?”

“I believe you've considered the best for me before asking me to have the abortion. But then, I really want to keep this baby. Artemis, I'm not doing this against my will, and I won't suffer for this pregnancy. This baby will be the last. We won't have any more children after this, okay?”
