Yvette had decided right then and there that she would marry Artemis no matter what.
She had lived in Tarragon's headquarters for years, and she had never seen the true appearance of this exceedingly powerful man.
Although she had stayed in Hallsbay for a period of time, she did not have the time to appreciate Artemis' looks as she was fixated on her rivalry with Shannon.
But that's not going to be the case from now on.
Yvette said, “Mr. Luther must be very handsome. Since I've been abroad for years and always keep to myself, I barely know anything about him.”
The waiter noticed her extravagantly dressed appearance. He hurriedly grabbed a magazine from the display shelf on the side and handed it to her lest he offended this distinguished guest.
“Mr. Luther is the special guest of this relic exhibition. His picture is on the cover of this promotional magazine.”
Yvette took the magazine over quickly.
She was enthralled by the man in the picture with just a glance.
Exuding aloofness, he was handsome all around, and his chiseled features seemed like a work of Adrune's master sculptor.
“Indeed, he's very handsome and charming. I'm certain he has stolen many girls' hearts. After all, he's the definition of perfection.”
“That's right! Mr. Luther is the prince charming of all women in Hallsbay. Otherwise, Bailey wouldn't have been the target of public outrage. In fact, she's still ostracized even with her immense contributions to Chanaea.”
It was only then that Yvette remembered Artemis' lover.
That's right. I have heard of Ms. Jefferson. It seems I have to learn more about her in the future.
Artemis and the others circled the arc-shaped exhibit area before finally meeting Bailey and the rest.
Everyone in the vicinity braced their eyes and stared at them curiously to see if Artemis would openly ignore Bailey.
Alas, they were disappointed by the outcome.
Artemis strode forward to reduce the distance between them before wrapping his arm around Bailey's waist.
He then pecked her on the cheek, unconcerned about the spectators.
What the hell was the rumor about her losing Artemis' interest? Clearly, Artemis is infatuated with Bailey. In fact, the woman has Artemis wrapped around her finger completely. It's impossible for Artemis to love someone else.
“I haven't seen you for half an hour, and I've missed you dearly,” Artemis whispered in her ear.
In response, Bailey shot him a glare.
Does he think I'm clueless as to what he's actually thinking about? With Edmund, Raiden, and even the Oscars' Best Actor, Elliot present, isn't he just trying to stake his claim on me in front of them? I didn't expect the head of the Luther family to have such a childish side.
