Kurt reached out and patted her cheek before breaking into a sinister grin.
“Of course. That jerk Cameron was previously consumed by rage, so the Venom has likely spread throughout his entire body, arriving dangerously close to his heart by now. If I don't give him the antidote, then he'll definitely die. Once he's gone, who else will risk their life for me and help me reclaim the Venom Valley?”
Blaze's eyes gradually reddened.
It became clear to Blaze that this jerk had never stopped wanting to get the Venom Valley for himself.
The reason he previously refused Bailey was because he wanted to win her over.
After he had her, he used her to blackmail Cameron into helping him seize the Venom Valley.
It was laughable how she thought that she could save Cameron by sacrificing herself. In the end, she was used by the jerk to threaten Cameron.
That was utterly ridiculous.
The desire to die was growing stronger in her mind, causing her body to urge the blood parasite within her involuntarily.
Once the female parasitic worm awakened, it would begin to feed on her flesh and blood. If she perished, the parasitic worm would also meet its demise without a vector to sustain it.
Once the female parasitic worm expired, the male parasitic worm within Kurt would meet the same fate. At that point, he would be eradicated along with her.
It seemed that Kurt had sensed what she wanted to do, and he didn't try to stop her. In fact, he couldn't have stopped her even if he wanted to.
He stared intently into the lifeless eyes of Blaze, sneering, “If I die, Cameron won't survive either, you know. Are you truly willing to sacrifice yourself to me to save him, and drag him along with us to death?”
Blaze shuddered violently twice.
He's correct. I've already given up so much. Am I really considering dragging Cameron down with me? How can I simply stand by and witness the man I've loved for more than a decade succumb to this poison?
Gradually, the dying intent in Blaze's eyes began to fade. She soon regained her composure.
Struggling to her feet, she endured the pain that racked her body as she dressed. After that, she walked to the door barefoot.
After some thought, Kurt put on a robe and followed her.
Blaze wafted from the second floor to the first floor before heading to the garden like a phantom.
When Catherine gave her the love parasite, she also told her how to get rid of it.
A blend of several floral fragrances, ground into a powder and ingested, could expel the parasite from the body.
She knew that if she didn't get rid of the parasite for Kurt tonight, he wouldn't hand over the antidote.
They could afford to waste time, but Cameron couldn't wait anymore.
She compromised to save Cameron.
Otherwise, why would she endure Kurt's actions?
Twenty minutes later, Blaze swallowed the flower pollen she had grounded.
The next moment, her body began to convulse violently.
In order to save his life, Kurt hastily ingested the other cup of flower pollen.
After a bout of excruciating torment, the two of them retched, spitting out a mouthful of black blood each.
Within the viscous blood, two brilliantly colored parasitic worms were intertwined.
Kurt, with a surge of determination, struggled to his feet and crushed the two worms into a pulp.
Just then, the alarm in the mansion began to ring.
Kurt swiftly appeared in a flash beside Blaze to hold her neck in a chokehold.
Following that, several blood-soaked bodyguards rushed in from outside, their voices trembling as they said, “M-Mr. White, we've been ambushed. We failed to stop them, and they are already heading toward the garden. You must escape through the back door immediately. We will risk our lives to buy you some time.”
Escape?
Kurt began to laugh menacingly.
