"You just said something very reasonable," Bertie listened attentively, looking at the girl with a kinder gaze. "I suppose your parents are very open-minded, and your boyfriend treats you well, right?"

"Yeah," the girl's face lit up with a happy smile.

Bertie looked at her with affection and fondness.
