Kevan had been feeling frustrated over the past two days. He didn't know what he had done to offend Gary. Somehow, Gary seemed to have put Kevan on the blacklist and kept preventing him from visiting Larissa.
Each time he rushed to the hospital eagerly, Lewis stopped him from meeting Larissa with various excuses.
In desperation. Kevan resorted to his old method of introducing a caretaker. With that, he was able to plant an informant in Larissa's hospital ward.
Mrs. Griffin would report Larissa's condition to him every day, but even so, he was not satisfied.
At his wit's end, he turned to Dylan for help. "Help me think of a legitimate reason to meet Larissa."
Kevan had tried numerous ways to enter Larissa's ward, such as sending her meals, giving her a cell phone, or delivering a message from Aster.
Despite that, Lewis was adamant about not letting Kevan in. He informed Kevan politely that he would relay the message to Larissa on his behalf.
"Isn't visiting a sick person a legitimate enough reason?" Dylan was unable to empathize with Kevan's frustrations.
"In fact, I just met Larissa yesterday. By the way, did you know that Mr. Logan, Blue Star Shipping's CEO and a partner of Soaring Corporation, is actually Larissa's biological father? It's so surreal, like a plot out of a drama! I was terribly shocked …" Caught up in his excitement, Dylan rambled on, but Kevan didn't hear a word.
"Did you meet Larissa yesterday? Did you manage to enter her hospital ward?" He stared at Dylan intently, holding his breath.
"Of course, I went in. Larissa's not in the intensive care unit, why wouldn't I be able to go in?" Dylan thought Kevan's question was ridiculous.
Kevan couldn't believe his ears. In a daze, he probed further, "The Logan family let you in?"
Dylan nodded. "Yes, I said I was a friend of Larissa, so they didn't stop me. Larissa's dad and cousin are quite nice people. We had a good chat and they thanked me for taking care of Larissa all this while. In addition, they even said that after Larissa's discharge, they want to invite me for a proper dinner."
When Kevan heard that, he couldn't help feeling aggrieved.
At the same time, he felt a little annoyed.
