Larissa hated taking pictures. This weird quirk was because of a very unhappy experience from her childhood.
The Seymours were a typical rich family. When the first compact camera was just invented, Lana owned one when she was still in elementary school.
Children were always curious about new things. As a result, whenever Lana ran around the Seymour Mansion taking pictures with her camera, Larissa would sometimes secretly watch Lana from her bedroom door.
The camera film only had twenty snaps per film roll. The Seymours did not have a special darkroom, and it was rare for the photo studios on the streets to have one too.
So, Lana always took several photos on several film rolls, and a driver would take them all to a photo studio several miles away to get them developed. After that, the photos would be brought home.
Lana was young. The camera was more like a toy to her. She took very random photos, so there were too many films that were either too bright or too blurry. The photos came out the same way, and so countless films were wasted.
Lana did not care though, so the Seymours would not care either.
But one day, Yvette had a photo with Larissa's blurred figure in it, and she screamed at Larissa and beat her. "Why are you running around when Nana's taking photos? Do you know how expensive films are?! You ungrateful bitch! You only know how to waste our money! I wish I never gave birth to you!"
When Yvette walked away, she tore up that photo and threw it at Larissa's feet.
"What a fucking burden!" Larissa would forever remember the disgusted look in Yvette's eyes when she said that.
From that time on, Larissa never watched Lana take photos in secret. Whenever someone wanted to take a picture of her, Larissa would remember that incident, and she would automatically feel scared and terrified.
So, the picture of her that Kevan had used as his wallpaper had to have been photographed in secret.
But she did not know Kevan at all at that time. She did not know how the hell he managed to get that photo.
Larissa stared at the picture, at the face that was the same yet different for a long time. Then, she put Kevan's laptop back into sleep mode as she calmed herself down to start working.
She did not have much left to do. She only spent about an hour or so to finish it all. After making backup copies of the slideshow to her USB drive, the cloud, and even sending a copy to Lewis, Larissa finally turned off her laptop.
