Larissa licked her lips in disappointment as she muttered, "Then how the hell did you even know me …"
Her high school life was incredibly simple. In order to get into an important university and change her fate by escaping the Seymour family, she spent every single moment of her life studying.
Any free time she had she was studying at home and revising her work. She never wasted time on anything else.
In other words, Kevan could not have known her at all unless he was in the same school as her.
Larissa's blank expression did not seem fake.
Kevan's tense feelings relaxed again. He had been excited and happy then because he thought she finally remembered him. But in the end, she did not, and disappointment took over Kevan.
He'd had her in his heart for so many years. He thought of her every day and night and never forgot about her. He thought that he was special to her at least.
But now he realized that he was only a random nobody to her. He never mattered in her life.
"I didn't know you before we first met in Regal Dynasty." Kevan looked down. The hands in his pockets turned into fists. His cold voice had a hint of self-deprecation in it.
"I don't remember where the picture came from. I probably saw it by chance and thought it was nice, so I saved it and made it my wallpaper."
He did not want her to know that he had lost his heart to her so long ago. He had to hold onto what little dignity he had left. However, his explanation did not convince Larissa.
Although the picture's background was blurry, one could still tell that it was the gates of Bartham's Keystone High School. The person who took this photo could only be a classmate or an alumnus.
But none of these people seemed to have any connection to Kevan.
