Chapter 839
The moment Kevan was gone, the job of sending Aster to and from school landed on Larissa’s head.
Her sprained ankle had recovered, and she could drive now.
It was convenient too.
It was just that the lime she got off work was later than Aster’s school dismissal.
She could only do as she did before and ask the teacher to watch Aster.
When Kevan left, he had spoken with Lewis beforehand.
So, Lewis knew about Larissa’s difficulties.
t Larissa reused.
He told Larissa to leave work early, but L
Blue Star had just experienced a crazy wave of employees quitting from the presidential office.
They were at a time when they needed people to step up to help out.
Plus, the employees who quit had taken away quite a few clients too. Thus, the office felt really depressing.
Larissa had to stick with the company and show her support.
Edmund’s sudden appearance made Larissa feel stressed out. It also made her feel very pressured again.
She talked to Lewis. She wanted to use the afternoon break hours for extra lessons. So, she asked for his help.
Lewis did not refuse.
So. Larissa abandoned her mealtime friend, Marilyn. The moment afternoon came by, she grabbed her lunch and went to Lewis‘ office to
find him.
They ate their lunches while following up with company projects. Sometimes, Gary would join in to discuss the future developments of the
company.
Marilyn had been abandoned. Thus, she was a bit upset at that. So, kept asking Larissa out to go window shopping and eat together. Alas. Larissa refused every lime.
Without Kevan and Wendy helping to watch her son, Larissa could only reject her.
Marilyn asked Larissa curiously. “Why are you so anxious to go home every day? Do you have a boyfriend? Are you secrelly in a
relationship with him?”
“Why should being in a relationship be kept a secret? Larissa retorted.
Marilyn spread her hands. “Maybe you don’t want people to know about it?”
“Nah!” Larissa denied it. “I need to pick Aster up from school. There’s no one at home to take care of him.”
“What about that super handsome driver you have?” Marilyn asked.
“He’s on leave.” Larissa lied. “He will only come back after a period of time.”
Marilyn refused to let her off. “You should be free on the weekend then? You’ll go window shopping with me on Saturday afternoon! It’s a
deal!
Larissa originally wanted to have extra lessons with Lewis on that day, but
“Alright then.” Larissa agreed.
Other than work, the thing Larissa was worried about the most was Wendy and Edmund’s relationship.
She would text Wendy every day to ask about Edmund in roundabout ways.
