Chapter 84
Declining Zero’s invitation for supper, Larissa left by herself.
Now that it was past dinner time, the elevators at Microworks were mostly empty. She was able to reach the
first floor very quickly. The security guard recognized her and leaped out of his chair at once.
“Ms. Seymour!” he greeted her, all smiles as he voluntarily opened the special access gate for her before she
could speak.
Larissa thanked him immediately, and he dipped his head as a sign of respect. “Goodbye, Ms. Seymour! Please come again!”
Larissa suddenly had the sensation of mistakenly entering some high–end restaurant.
After walking out of the Microworks Building, she turned back to look, and it was still lit up. At this point, it was already 10 pm.
There were already fewer cars on the road compared to when she just came. Only a couple or so cars could be seen driving past. She waited for a while before an empty cab came her way. She had just given the driver the address when Zero’s phone call came.
Confused, she asked, “What’s up?”
The moment she finished speaking. Zero said frantically, “Someone’s trying to jump off the Victory General Hospital! It looks like that shitty mother–in–law of yours!”
After some calculation, she figured that the crew of “The Mediators Room” must have found Janine by now.
Larissa originally wanted to let them tear each other apart to the extent that there may be more behind–the- scenes things exposed. But she did not anticipate that Janine would pull the suicide card now that she was cornered.
She was certain that Janine was only pretending. She would not actually jump.
“The police and the firefighters have gone there. There is some local press too. Do you want to go check it out? “Zero asked.
“Okay.” Larissa told the driver to change destinations.
With how quiet the roads were, it only took less than ten minutes for her to get to the hospital from the Microworks Building.
There was already a crowd gathered below the surgery building. Police cars and a firetruck were already parked nearby. A few policemen were trying to disperse the crowd and maintain order while the firemen were trying to quickly fill up the air cushion.
Looking up, Larissa could vaguely see a figure on the top of the building. She could not tell who it was. however.
“Get me Larissa Seymour! Bring her here!” A piercing scream came from the top. Larissa heard everything due to the silence of the night.

Chapter 84
Well, it seemed that it really was her ex–mother–in–law, Ms. Janine Levange.
“What’s going on?” a new onlooker asked.
The person nearby explained, “Have you seen last week’s episode of “The Mediators Room? The one where the woman was bitching about her daughter–in–law? Well, her daughter–in–law set the record straight today. and even said she was going to sue her, and this idiot wants to jump now because of that.”
“Ohhhhhh! That Janine Levange, was it? I watched that episode. I even donated money to them. What, was
she lying about it?”
“Yeah! She owns several houses, you know! She just didn’t want to sell any of them to treat her son, and wanted to take advantage of netizens‘ kindness without paying for anything herself!”
“What the hell? That’s too much! I donated two hundred, man. Can I get a refund?”
“I doubt it, mate, sorry. I mean just look at her right now. If she actually jumps—well, you might end up
