“Where are you going? The police bureau? Larissa asked.
“Yes, I need to give a statement” Kevan answered.
“What about me? Don’t I need to go? Larissa was a genuine victim in this case. According to protocol, she should also be present.
“You stay home and accompany Wendy, I’ll go. Both you and Wendy should stay home during this period.”
Kevan reached out and stroked her face. The touch from his fingertips filled his heart with warmth. It dispelled his lingering fears.
Larissa knew what he was worried about, so she complied. “Then come back soon. Be sale on the road.”
