Take Me Away novel Chapter 139

As Celine expected, her words penetrated into Spencer's drunkenness. He stopped and stood still; his eyes cleared a bit. Then, he said in a deep voice, "What nonsense are you talking about? Don't make up a story based on your wild imagination!"

"Do you think I'm making up a story?" Celine sneered. "You've seen the video. It was Fiona! She betrayed you, but you're still loyal to her and it's stupid! I don't care about anything else, but that baby is not yours! It will have a different surname once it comes out of her womb! Will you raise a child that has a different father? Are you that pathetic? What's worse is that the person who impregnated the love of your life is an unpardonable bastard, an enemy you want to destroy! Spencer! Listen to me!"

Celine's last sentence completely angered Spencer. He turned around and gave her spine-tingling glare. Then, he raised his fist and punched towards her all of a sudden.

"Ahhh!" Celine screamed out of fear. As soon as she closed her eyes, she felt Spencer's fist go past her left ear, which was then followed by a loud thud. She waited for Spencer's attack to land on her frail body, but nothing came. On the contrary, she heard his footsteps resume again.

Celine then opened her eyes as she trembled with fear. She saw that Spencer had already climbed up to the last step of the staircase and was turning a corner. Soon enough, he vanished from her line of sight. She slowly tilted her head to the left, and saw the wall behind her damaged.

'Spencer, how much strength did you use to punch this wall!' she thought, feeling weak.

Celine touched her lower abdomen and gritted her teeth secretly. There was no way she would let him go this easily! 'Baby, you came at a bad time. It seems that we are not meant for each other. After you serve your mission, go to hell quietly. When you are born again, you should find a good mother!'

Spencer staggered back to his room and struggled to open the door. When he finally did, he came inside and closed the door behind him. With his drunkenness, he didn't realize that he wasn't able to close it properly. Slowly, he walked to his bedroom.

He actually couldn't tell if he was sober or drunk. At this moment, he didn't want to think about anything. He just wanted to sleep and forget everything that had happened. This was the first time he had ever felt this way. No matter how difficult the challenge he had faced in the past, he would try to find a solution. But this time, he could do nothing!

When he entered his room, he immediately went to his bed and collapsed on it. At first, he debated in his head whether he would take off his clothes or not, but in the end, he decided he would. Slowly, he coaxed his shoes off his feet, his shirt off his body, and his pants off his legs.

After everything seemed to quiet down, Celine opened the door and walked into Spencer's room stealthily. She then turned around and locked the door with a click.

The idea of what she was going to do had shaken her to the core, but she knew she had to do it. Holding a bottle tightly in her hands, she walked towards the bedroom step by step.

All of a sudden, Spencer snorted and turned over, which scared Celine to high heavens and caused her to take a step back.

How could she let him take this medicine? Celine swallowed and made up her mind to make the medicine first.

The clock went tick tock.

After mixing the white powder and water, Celine walked into the bedroom. In the dark night, she made up her mind to fulfill her wish over the years.

"Spencer, Spencer..."

In the middle of his dream, someone was calling him. A soft hand was pushing him. He opened his eyes and saw darkness and a blurry figure. "You..."

"Have some water." Celine handed a glass of water to Spencer with her hands trembling.

With his judgment clouded, Spencer just went with the flow and swallowed what was given to him. Then, he took the cup without hesitation and gulped down the water inside him.

Celine breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing her plan work. Despite that, however, she knew she wasn't finished. It made her even more nervous.

After drinking the water, Spencer's voice changed into something seemingly not his. He asked, "Have you come back from the infirmary?"

"I am not..." But on second thought, Celine nodded and replied, "Yes."

"Fiona." Suddenly, Spencer screamed out her name. He reached out his hand and touched Celine's left face. Slowly, he moved closer to her mouth. His warm, sweet breath mixed with the smell of alcohol covered her face. He asked in a caring tone, "You are back so soon. Are you feeling better?"

She was now experiencing the softness she hadn't enjoyed in a long time under the guise of Fiona. Her heart sank, but she pushed through. 'So what?' she thought. 'Love is gone, isn't it?' What she wanted most now was a position of ownership and unlimited glory that she would only be able to achieve if she stayed by Spencer's side.

"I miss you, honey." Celine held him in her arms and felt his fragility, which was enough to make her hot.

However...

"You are not Fiona!" The next moment, Spencer suddenly pushed Celine away. His formerly clouded eyes became sharp. He stared at the person in front of him for a few seconds and said, "You are... Celine?"

A pang of guilt blossomed in Celine's chest. She put her hand on his neck to stop him from pushing her away, but she couldn't say anything. She could only stare at Spencer, who was now looking at her like she was some kind of disgusting monster.

"Don't you understand what I said?" Spencer bellowed. He was getting angry, and Celine was starting to feel like she was in a dangerous position. "Celine, it's impossible for us to be together! Why are you still trying to get with me? You are not such a person before!"

"You said I don't understand, but what do you know? You know nothing, Spencer! It's all because of you! It's all your fault!" Celine roared back. Her tears began to pour down. "I just like you! We are not real family. Why can't we be together?"

"Because I don't like you anymore." Spencer ignored her tears and got out of bed. Although he could not keep his balance, he still held the doorknob to open the door.

"Spencer!" Celine suddenly screamed out. She got out of bed to stop him from leaving, to the point that she squeezed in between him and the door. "You didn't want seeing me cry before, but now you don't care? Spencer, as I said, just one night..." She once again threw herself on him.
