Take Me Away novel Chapter 92

Fiona and George didn't follow Eric back into the residential building. Instead, they made their way to the piano room on the first floor of the white building. Upon entrance, Fiona couldn't help but notice that the decoration of the room seems to have changed.

She had played on this piano once before and thought that it sounded melodious back then. As the piano stood in the corner, grand and elegant, she was instantly drawn to it.

"Let's go inside and have a look," George said as he noticed the eagerness in Fiona's eyes. "The room isn't locked anyway, do you think it's okay?"

"Yes." Fiona nodded eagerly.

George waved his hand to his staff as a signal to leave. He then entered the piano room with Fiona. "Do you know how to play, Fiona?" he inquired.

"A little," Fiona said modestly.

"I remember back then, whenever I would go to your house, your mother used to play the piano. I admired her so much back then," George smiled. "My mom used to say, 'All the women in the residential area live like men do. Only Fiona's mom is feminine. She can play piano and draw. Fiona is also very beautiful, like a flower. I have no doubt that she'll grow up to be an excellent woman.'"

He imitated his mother's speech in such a way that Fiona couldn't help but grin. Whenever people talked about her mother, she felt as if warm sunshine was filling her heart.

"Play a song for me, please?" George urged. "I believe you'll do well just like your mother did."

Raising her eyebrows, Fiona didn't refuse.

The minute Spencer arrived at the doorway of the piano room, he saw that it was indeed Fiona who was playing the piano.

The memory of Fiona playing the piano last time was still etched in his mind. The way in which her fingers danced along the keys, her body swaying with the music, and the sparkle that seemed to have come from her eyes as she played were all truly unforgettable.

These were his reasons for adamantly refusing his men when they asked permission from him to convert the piano room into a fitness room. Instead, he had the piano room redecorated just in case Fiona decided to play the piano again.

He stood outside the door, not daring to move in fear that he would disturb the serenity of the moment.

Meanwhile, Fiona continued to play the piano, head lowered. Her silvery music enlivened the cold, bleak winter.

Remaining motionless, Spencer relished hearing Fiona play the piano in silence.

Suddenly, the music went from a slow pace to a fast pace. Fiona had successfully transitioned in a gradual and smooth way until the music faded away.

While Spencer was still in a trance,

he suddenly heard someone clapping.

George walked out from the corner of the room which Spencer only noticed now. George smiled lightly as he gazed at Fiona. "Wow, that's lovely," he praised.

"Thank you." When Fiona stood up from the piano, she turned and opened her mouth to say something to George. However, she suddenly saw Spencer standing by the door. What was he doing here?
