When Nancy was about to go downstairs from Ryan's side, he spoke.
"It is wise to do the same thing once. It's stupid to do it twice. " His voice was mellow and deep, with a noble quality. It was just a sentence, but there was an invisible sense of push in it.
She kept silent. She stopped and looked at him in surprise.
She subconsciously suspected that he had recognized her. On a second though, she believed that a man of his status wouldn't remember the woman who had a one night stand with him three years ago.
"What do you mean?" She was confused. Her eyes were moist, and her thin hair fell to the smooth forehead. She looked embarrassed but charming.
He took a few steps forward, and a sense of oppression came to her face. When he approached, she smelt a clear smell of tobacco.
He looked at her small face and said, "You approached me on purpose on the plane, and now you fell at my door on purpose. Do you think you are better than other women in playing such tricks?"
His calm voice made her heart sink.
She understood that he suspected that she approached him with ulterior motives. This man had been standing at a high position for too long. He felt that everyone getting close him had a purpose.
"Mr. Jin, I don't understand what you mean. I didn't know you were on that plane and this is your home. Besides, I don't know you... " Nancy said in a low voice. Her voice was a little hoarse because of the cold.
She clenched her fists, with sweat in her palms.
If it Jenny and Aron hurt her with someone else's hand, then that person was Ryan.
In the past three years, she had imagined countless times the scene where she saw Ryan again after she was released from prison, but she had never thought that it would be like this. Now, he thought she was a woman who threw herself at him with ulterior motives.
"You are not good at pretending to be innocent in front of men." He was not interested in her explanation. He turned around and went downstairs. He said in a casual tone, "You have one minute to leave."
He went downstairs to get a glass of water and drank a few mouthfuls. His Adam's apple rolled, sexy and lively.
She frowned. Did he turn a deaf ear to her explanation just now?
She went downstairs and looked up at him. "How do you know I'm pretending to be innocent? Mr. Jin, if I were here to throw myself at you, why would I dress like this and wear no makeup? "
She was very clear how embarrassed she was now: an out of date overcoat, pale trousers, and a plain face.
He glanced at her, put down the glass in his hand, and said with a mysterious look, "Pretending to be pure and playing cat and mouse is out of date."
She frowned harder. She bit her pale lower lip slightly and sneered, "Mr. Jin, how many times have you been deceived by women? Why don't you believe women so much? I don't think you are a good man. You can sleep with a woman at will... "
Nancy blurted out the last sentence out of anger.
Ryan was the man whom she had met only once in bed. In the past three years, she had been wondering what kind of man he was. How could he have sex with a completely strange woman? Even though he was drunk, he was a man who couldn't control the lower part of his body.
"What did you say?" His eyes darkened slowly, which made her hold her breath.
She was afraid of him subconsciously.
