Talented Heiress A Rose with Thorns (Yvette and Wilson) novel Chapter 853

"Thank you so much, young ladies!" The old man's face immediately lit up when Yvette and Madison agreed to it.

"You two are the most kind-hearted young ladies I have ever met. I can't thank you enough for this. Let's go now. The last thing I want is to make you late for your classes."

Madison shook her head and said thoughtfully, "It's okay. We're not in a hurry. Watch your steps, mister. Don't trip and fall."

The old man led them through increasingly remote paths, but Madison was so naively kind-hearted that she didn't notice anything strange about him at all. She was even concerned about his health.

"You can't just live on bagels, mister. It's not healthy."

"Don't worry about it. Very soon, I will leave this penniless life behind."

Madison finally sensed something was off when she heard that, but she didn't give it too much thought.

"Here we are." The old man stopped in an alley that was both remote and empty. Then, a creepy smile appeared on his face.

"Hmm?" Madison raised her head and looked at her surroundings. She asked in a puzzled tone, "There isn't a shop that sells bagels here, mister."

The old man ignored her and shouted into the air, "I've brought them to you as you asked!"

"Well done." All of a sudden, a group of men dressed in black emerged from the bowels of the alley. One of them tossed a card at the old man.

"You can get your ass out of here now."

The old man immediately grinned from ear to ear when he picked the card up from the ground. "Alright. I'm gone."
