"Young man, you don't need to explain yourself. Are you hurt? Are you scared? You've done good, boy. Rest first," Corissa said friendly.
Darren was stunned.
The attitude of the mangy hen had suddenly changed. Her kindness surprised Darren.
It must be because of the mysterious man.
"Madam, are you being threatened by someone? Why are you suddenly so kind to me?" Darren asked with a smile.
"No, why are you thinking like that? An old friend of mine just said hi to me. If I had known that you and that master are of the same race, we wouldn't have misunderstood each other like that." Corissa knew that there was a great master in the abyss, but she didn't know that he was also a human.
"It's good of you to say so," Darren said, his body relaxing. "I heard that you used to be one of the rulers in this abyss. How did you end up like this? You look like you're going to lose all your feathers."
As soon as he said this, Darren could feel that the mangy hen's aura had suddenly turned very hostile. However, it quickly died down.
"Cut the crap. You can leave now." Obviously, Corissa was annoyed.
However, Darren wanted to see just how much power the mysterious master possessed, and how much influence he had over the mangy hen, who had once been a ruler in this place.
"Ha! I'm just kidding. Please don't take it to heart. I just arrived here. I've got so many questions to ask, madam. Please favor me with your instructions," Darren said, his voice sincere.
Corissa cast him a wary glance, wondering why he suddenly became so serious.
"That's more like it. You can ask me whatever you want," she replied.
Darren nodded. "Madam, do you know who helped me out of the Space of Belief?"
Corissa was stunned for a moment, and then shook her head violently. "Sorry, I can't answer this one. Do you have anything else to ask?"
Darren was speechless. It was obvious that Corissa didn't want to tell him the truth.
"Well, if any creature gets caught by the chief god's projection, where do you think he will be locked up?" Darren asked. He wanted to know more about his family.
"Are you nuts? Why are you asking me such things?" Corissa rolled her eyes at Darren. "Let me ask you a question. Why did the chief god's projection take people away? To obtain the Power of Belief, right? Where do you think the masters he caught will be locked up?"
Buzz!
Darren's mind was buzzing. Only then did he realize that his parents and uncles must have been imprisoned in the Space of Belief! It made total sense!
Darren's worries began to melt away. He didn't need to worry about whether or not the people he cared about were safe. The chief god only wanted the Power of Belief. It was highly possible that Darren's parents and uncles were still alive.
It was more than what he could ask for.
"Space of Belief, here I come! I will go inside again!" Darren swore, gritting his teeth.
"Have you finished?" Corissa asked.
"Well, not yet." Darren came to his senses. "Madam, can you do me a favor?"
"What is it?" By this time, Corissa was already a little impatient. 'Come on. Please leave me alone. With someone backing you up, you won't stop, won't you?' she thought to herself.
"Please find me some weak races—ones that I can handle with my current strength," Darren said.
"That's not a problem," Corissa said. She paused for a moment and sent a map into Darren's mind. The map marked the locations of most races' forces in the abyss, and it identified the levels of their strength.
"Go and find them yourself. I can't walk out of this area, so this is all I can do for you," she said.
"Thank you! Thank you so much!" Darren said, his voice full of gratitude. He then cupped his hands and turned to leave.
Following the map, Darren found a small tribe of bloodthirsty creatures with wolf's heads and man's bodies.
This race was small. They were only roughly ten thousand strong. Their strength was also similar to the strength of the purple devils.
Judging from the information that Corissa had given him, this group of creatures were very violent. They would destroy any living being that they were able to defeat. Darren decided to face them head on.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
Countless sword lights and blade shadows rushed forward. Soon, the space was filled with blood, and the stench of death filled the air.
The effect of Darren's god's power was too great, and the souls of the dead creatures were all compressed.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
