It was a fierce battle, but in the end Belle and her husband were defeated. Belle had been pregnant at the time and was forced to flee, as her husband risked his life to protect hers.
Belle later gave birth to Sunny and had been living in seclusion since, to avoid being discovered and killed by the powerful warriors of the demonic monster race.
However, Belle's husband was constantly on her mind. She knew that he had most likely been killed by the demonic monsters, but she still hoped that perhaps he was alive.
Once he had heard the whole story, Darren erupted into a fury.
How could the Chu Clan be so unreliable and weak? Where were the members of the previous generations? How could they be so careless to let the Chu Clan fall?
If it hadn't, Belle wouldn't have suffered as much as she had. The demonic monster race had gone too far as well. The thought of them made Darren exude a strong killing intent.
"Darren, the rise and fall of a clan is an inevitability of history. Don't think on it too much. The most important thing right now is that we save your brother-in-law," Elsa reminded, trying to calm Darren.
"You're right. I understand." Darren nodded, terrifying, malicious light flashing in his eyes.
"Let's go to the demonic monster race right now and settle this."
"Darren, the demonic monsters have hidden themselves away so far and deep that it's near impossible to find them. The only way we'd be able to is through the Danyun Clan." Belle felt some semblance of hope. This was the happiest moment in so many years she'd lost track.
"Let's go. Elsa, you stay here and take care of Sunny," said Darren, readying himself to leave in the next second.
"I'm coming with you. I'll just bring Sunny too."
"No, she is too young. We cannot let her see the bloody scene that is about to unfold," Darren said cautiously.
"Yes, I suppose you're right. Okay, you two hurry back as soon as you can then."
Elsa was unfazed. Even though Darren had no god's power, there was still no one on the Lothlann Continent capable of hurting him in the slightest.
Belle and Darren then left together and headed for the Danyun Clan, one of the three greatest clans on the Lothlann Continent.
They flew for an hour before they landed in front of a tall palace, stretching high into the sky.
"Listen here, patriarch of the Danyun Clan. Show yourself and receive your death sentence!" Darren stood before the palace and bellowed his icy voice around for all to hear throughout.
"How dare you! The Danyun Clan is not to be trifled with. Go to hell!"
A while later, two powerful warriors who had just entered the Emperor Realm rushed out to confront Darren.
"When did the Emperor Realm become such a worthless level?" Darren remarked viciously.
"There is something you don't know, Darren. The Danyun Clan seems to have risen to prominence with the assistance from a mysterious world. They now have at least a hundred powerful warriors at the Emperor Realm. That's why I had to run and hide from them back then," Belle revealed, warning Darren.
"If they have such power, why did they ask the demonic monster race to hunt you and your husband down?" Darren inquired perplexed.
"I don't know. It seems that someone intervened and took charge. They did not want to kill me themselves, so they sent the demonic monster race to do their dirty work for them," responded Belle.
"Humph, I don't care who they are. I'm back and I will kill whoever dares lay a hand anywhere near my sister," Darren said, his tone stinging with rage.
Two of the Danyun Clan's powerful warriors arrived before them.
"What's this? It's Belle Chu!"
"Report this to the elders!"
They knew they were no match for Belle and so immediately relayed the message back to the palace.
Soon, two more powerful warriors at the top level of the Emperor Realm rushed over, releasing holy emperor's power to restrain Darren and Belle.
"Go to hell!" Darren growled.
He vanished and the next moment, four explosions could be heard from above the palace of the Danyun Clan. The four warriors' blood poured down like a heavy rain.
"Ah! What's happening? The elders are dead!"
The members of the Danyun Clan below were astounded, almost scared silly. Four powerful warriors at the Emperor Realm, including two elders at the top level of the Emperor Realm, had died so easily?
What was more disconcerting was that they hadn't sensed any fluctuation of power.
This was a horrifying development!
Darren floated in midair. There was no emperor aura fluctuation on his body, but still the members of the Danyun Clan were shaking in their boots, terrified as if they were seeing the God of Death.
