By this time Charles had already gotten out of the car. He didn't know how many cigarettes he had smoked at this point. One cigarette after another, the butts were all scattered in the side of the car.
Upon seeing Hiram coming outside in a hurry, Charles went up to him and asked, "Hiram, where are they?"
"Mr. Fu, Nancy is inside Edward's room, but I don't know exactly they are doing. It's not like I can just barge in and ask them about it. I really don't have any other choice. But whatever it is you want me to do, I will follow your orders," said Hiram.
Charles threw another cigarette butt on the ground and crushed it with the heel of his leather shoe.
His gaze fell at Bobby and Nadia, who were both waiting inside the hotel.
"Inform the children that my mother misses them and that she wants them to go back to the old mansion with me. Tell them to let their mother know. Follow them and try to get them to see what Nancy and Edward are doing in the room."
Since it wouldn't be easy for neither him nor Hiram to cause disruption and go inside, it would be much easier if they asked the children to take a look.
The two cunning children would obviously never allow Edward to do anything bad with Nancy.
"Alright, I got this." After saying that, Hiram walked straight into the hall of the hotel.
"Bobby and Nadia, you father asked me to take the two of you back to the old mansion. Your grandmother misses you both," Hiram said while he walked over to the two of them.
"Uncle Hiram, mom and dad haven't come back yet. Bobby and I can't simply leave," Nadia said with a frown.
"What? Dad?" Hiram was befuddled.
When did these two children acquire another father?
Hiram also didn't know why they called him so sweetly.
If only Charles heard about this...
'Forget about it. I can't waste my time thinking about this. Whatever the matter is, Charles is currently upset. That's all I have to think about,' Hiram thought.
"Yes, Uncle Edwards is our new father," Nadia said earnestly.
Hiram released a strange laugh. "Bobby, do you also think that Edward is your new dad?"
"Why can't I think so? Uncle Edward saved my life today and he told us to call him 'dad'. So that is why we called him that. Why, what's wrong? Is it anything out of the ordinary?" Bobby said these words calmly and seriously.
"Of course, it seems a little strange. How could you call him your dad so casually when you already have a father?" Hiram explained.
"Charles is our daddy, while Edward is our dad. It's totally different!" Bobby exclaimed, waving his hand at Hiram.
"You naughty boy... Well, I surrender. You two go up and tell your mommy that we are going back to the old mansion. Hurry up," urged Hiram.
He was worried that if anything really happened between Edward and Nancy, it would certainly be a troublesome situation.
"Okay, Uncle Hiram. I'll go up and tell mommy." Bobby went inside the elevator and went to the sixth floor while Nadia and Hiram followed behind him.
"Mommy! Dad..." Bobby calmly called out while knocking on the door of Edward's room.
"You don't want to listen, don’t you? Didn't I just tell you not to knock on our door anymore?" Edward asked impatiently, assuming that it was the waitress knocking on the door again.
"It's just us. What's wrong?” Nadia thought that this 'dad' was being a little too aggressive in that moment.
When he heard Nadia's voice, Edward hastily opened the door. "The kids are here!"
"Yes, mommy. Uncle Hiram said that he would be taking us to the old mansion because grandma misses us," Bobby said obediently.
Edward turned back to look at Nancy. Evidently, he had no clue what Bobby had meant.
"What old mansion? Grandma? I don't understand," Edward spurted, wide eyed from puzzlement.
"It's a bit complicated. I'll tell you about it another time." A gentle flush of pink rose from her cheeks while an awkward smile appeared on her face. Nancy said to the children, "Of course, you can visit grandma if she misses you."
Nancy couldn't really explain anything at this time. Since Hiram suddenly appeared out of nowhere, she already knew that it was Charles who had asked him to come.
'Damn it, Charles. Did you get Hiram to follow me again?' she thought to herself.
"Dad, don't forget to think of us. See you tomorrow!"
Nadia and Bobby threw themselves into Edward's arms and kissed him on each side of his cheek.
"Good bye, kids."
