After passing the third barrier, he returned.

This time, the golem formation did not attack him.

Upon returning to James’ side and looking at his dumbfounded expression, Marcello smiled and said, “Actually, passing through the golem formation isn’t a difficult endeavor. As long as your movements are agile, you should be able to dodge their attacks easily. Why don’t you give it a try?”

“Me?”

James looked at the golems before him. He was not confident in his own strength.

“Go on,” Marcello said, “Aren’t you curious how far you can go?”

“Alright, then.”

James approached the golem formation and looked at the golems. Then, he catalyzed True Energy, summoned all his strength, and charged toward the golem formation.

The moment he stepped into the formation, a sword imbued with terrifying power came slashing at him. Before they even made contact with James, he could feel an overwhelming pressure coming toward him.

Though the golem had great speed, James managed to dodge the attack by taking a sidestep. At that moment, a second golem swung its sword.

James bent his body and pressed his body against the ground, dodging the attack.

Just as he dodged the second attack, another sword came slashing at him from the ground. Like a spring, he leaped into the air and dodged the attack.

The moment he entered the formation, he had been paying full attention to his surroundings. In the beginning, the golem’s attacks were sparse and disorganized. So, he could dodge the attacks using his reaction speed alone. As he continued dodging the attacks, he soon reached the fifty-meter mark.

“Is that so?”

James was doubtful.

His full strength? Was he referring to his tenacity and incredible recovery speed? What else was there?

James looked at him puzzledly.

Marcello looked at him and explained, “After experiencing the challenge myself and observing you while you tried to pass the barrier, I hypothesize that this formation acts according to one’s strength. The stronger you are, the stronger they will be.”
